The Good Rats were not well received when I saw them in Rochester, NY. The crowd that afternoon was most unreceptive to the toy rats they threw at us.

RIP Peppi. The Good Rats are my favorite band. Growing up my father listened to them CONSTANTLY. He'd lock my brothers and I out of the house and blast Tasty on the quad system and wouldn't let us in until the street lights came on.

When he and my mother got together he had loads of memorabilia but when they moved in together he only kept a single newspaper clipping regarding the WB record debacle stating that the records they printed were worth $175 at the time and the value would likely go up once they broke onto the national scene and "made it big".

In 2005 I found the record in mint condition on eBay and bought it for him for his birthday. He has since given it to me as he found out I'd learned 90% of their catalogue on bass.

SUCH an underrated group of musicians. I could talk about them all day long.
