Offical B.C. Rich Club!

The heel on the set necks was very blocky , not my favorite visually.
GRW would look great on it.
Pickups were Gotoh which are Japanese DiMarzio DP122 copies
Yup, super blocky, but really no reason for it, as the joint is way up in the headstock direction. It's odd. I had a feeling about the pickups, they look kinda like DP122's but with a different base and other changes. Thanks so much for the info.

Here you go. Great set and I had way more fun with this bass than I expected.

I remember that bass being posted by some shop for around $2500, but I didn't have that kind nd of cash at the time.
Then "The Guitar Broker" bought it and posted it for way more.

But I digress.

I remember that one having Hi-A pickups, which I've heard are way different than the bartolini branded pickups that came after the name change.

How does it sound?

I don't really have much to compare the Hi-A to, but I always found them very dark-sounding. After getting an EHX Steel Leather, I revisited the Bodine and the pedal really woke it up for me. I've been able to find a tone I'm happy with. Probably not terribly unlike my Thunderbird. We all gravitate to a certain tonal range, right?

NBD, grabbed the trans blue 1982 to go with my 1981 Mockingbird
