Let's not get hasty, Mike. "The ledge" is feeling a lot like home these days!

He played AN awesome game last night. But he has a long way to go before he proves to me that he can be an awesome goalie in Philadelphia. But his play has sucked so badly this year that it was very refreshing to see him play as strongly as he did last night. That is all... ;)

I have always liked the guy, and was a little mad when the Flyers got him. More of a "Great! Now they have the guy to get them a SC".

I still think youn'z were better off keeping Richards though.

We have the team to do it, but danny needs to do something and injuries are killing us. If people get it together this could be interesting. Or it could just be another year of almost that us Flyer fans are used to. We've never won in my 33 years, but we are always pretty good. It's got to happen sometime.

I'm not so sure about that. I haven't really missed him. These youngsters have been doing a great job. They're scoring a lot of goals and they're working hard. Voracek and Simmonds have been great additions; and the "kids" (Read, Couturier, Schenn, etc.) have really contributed. Briere has really dropped off, as has the oft-injured JVR. Losing Pronger didn't help; but adding Grossman and Kubina DID help. Too bad Timonen and Meszaros are out indefinitely. But for as frustrating as this season has been at times, not once have I thought, "Gee, I miss Richards..."

Fleury was amazing again, Malkin made some great plays, and the defense hang tough despite the Phoenix assault especially in the third. Good win even when the Pens didn't play all that well.

Darn, was hoping the Sabres won. But the Jets played great.

In other news Stamkos could hit 60 goals this season and that's pretty cool if superficial. IF he hits 60 or TB makes playoffs he could beat out Malkin for the Hart. Even though Malkin is a better player I think the voters could go with Stammer. Heard a Rangers fan call him a modern day Brett Hull at the game last week.

Hey, everyone. Any other Blues fans out there? The knock on them was that they couldn't win on the road, yet they just captured 10 out of a possible 12 points on their recent roadie and now they're tied with Detroit atop the Norris...er...Central Division. Hopefully Steen will be back for the playoffs as we could use some more offense, but the defense is great and the goaltending is spectacular. Why Columbus fired Ken Hitchcock, I'll never know, but he sure lit a fire under this team.

Just an "oh by the way" note about a team that was among the best in Hockey three months ago and now couldn't beat Our Lady of Fatima JV scrubs, the B's signed Marty Turco to replace Tuukka Rask, who's out 4-6 weeks with an abdominal strain. If Turco clears waivers, he'll join the B's on Wednesday, but he'll only be available during the regular season to spell Thomas (who needs more than spelling, I might add).

Despite my anti-Penguins bias, I think Malkin's got the Hart locked up. Even if Stamkos wins the goals race, Malkin's just been unstoppable this year on a team that's lacked it's best player for the last season and a half (minus eight games). The only shot Stamkos might have is if he scores 60 while bringing TB back from the bottom of the East into a playoff position; if TB doesn't at least make the playoffs, Malkin is a lock.
