Thanks for the advice fellas. I was really wanting to string through the body on this. Since it is my first string through. I like to play alot of lines where I let the notes ring out. "It's still sustaining."
Other wise I can put together a decent set or go with Circle K for non string through.
But Chromes are leading right now.

Almost done satinizing my 305. Did the hardware and pickguard, too. Also went on to file the fret ends nicely, rolled the board a bit more, and dressed the nut. Feels incredible now. No more stickiness.

wow Lublin its beginning to look like a whole new animal. definitely a must if you play in a non-flashy band. I really dig it though. "take my breath awaaayyy"
All of my basses and guitars are either relics or well-used. I like the broken in feel.
As mentioned previously, the headstock finish chipped pretty badly when I removed the tuner ferrules. I sealed the cracks with some poly, satinized, made some .020" thick 303 stainless washers, and they covered the chips completely. The increase in metal on the headstock now looks proportional to the huge slab of steel bridge haha!

Exactly. Speaking of which - and being new to the world of ATK's - I was thinking how great the ATK300 I recently bought during the big MF blowout would look with a chrome pickguard to match the bridge. Is this possible? As in do they make metal pickguards for them? I have no idea and don't recall having seen one on any previous model.
Sorry for the "newbie to ATK's" question.
