It looks like the diagram in the review on the Ibanez page is a little blurred, so here's a better look at that pickup selector diagram for the ATK750:

Got my ATK back yesterday with the new Jazz pickup, very pleased with the job he's done BUT the Jazz pickup is distorting very easily. When I play lightly the thing sound awesome, so hopefully I'll be able to get the thing fixed, other then that it sound perfect in combination with the Bassculture pickup.

I'll get some pics up soon to show how pretty it looks now :p

Here are the siblings! I've got the 305 setup for rockin and the 750 is my funk/fusion bass. Overall, I'm pleased with the 750. The neck is chunkier than the 305, but it's way easier to slap on, and has a really convincing jazz tone, whereas the 305 does a slightly better P to my ears. Out of the box it had fret buzz everywhere, but I changed the relief a tiny bit and now the action is nice and low and buzz-free as long as I don't dig in too hard.

The strings make a big difference too. I am going to keep the 750 with light gauges (not elixirs tho...)

Wait!

I thought that was EXACTLY what Elixirs prevented with their sealed surface. No dirt, no evil finger chemistry.

Did I get their hype wrong? :confused:

Well, if finger sweat is very acidic, even Elixirs can't do the job. Somehow my generic background (or karma) makes my finger sweat very mild and little so I'm fortunate, don't need to spend so much money on strings. It helps to wipe the strings each time after playing, not to speak of washing the hands before (that helps with avoiding spreading the flu, too.)

That would be the ATTACK mode which may sound the brightest because it's in humbucking mode with a mid scoop filter.

Put the switch all the way to the right, plug your bass into the amp and tap the two outer coils with a jeweler's screwdriver, screw or something steel and lightweight. You'll hear that both outer coils are active unlike with the other two switch positions where only the coil closest to the bridge is active.

Just a heads up for the guys that are having problems with stinging through the body, not sure if it's standard for the newer ones, but the guy that grafted my Jazz pickup in replaced the missing ferrules with some ones where the ball end goes slightly deeper into the body, that pesky first taper on my E is over the nut just enough now, although I'm slightly worried for when I need to use drop D every now and again...

so maybe i was a little harsh on the elixirs. they are not quite as bright as when i first tried them, but they are still holding up OK. I'm not really in love with their sound, but i am going to use them until they really die, since they were free basically.
