I am. I like the G string to cut through a bit. However,I am trying this combo with only one horn on. The other turned completely off for now

Received the Four10 today, about 43 hours after clicking "buy", Brighton UK to Wisconsin. That's amazing. No time to try it out now (oh, I had about 5 glorious minutes), but plan to spend some time w/ it at home this weekend, then 3 gigs next week.
Yup. I've got one somewhere around half way up and the other is completely off.
Yeah, makes sense. Should be a simple job to rewire it for one or the other anyway. Think I would have to get 8 ohms for my tube heads, the Orange AD200 and Trace V4 only do 4 and 8 I think. The Ampeg V4 and Super Bassman run 2,4 and 8. Will have to check. Seriously considering this one. Ahh, gas....

I freakin' LOVE the bottom end on my SM's. Full. Tight. Punchy. Best bottom of any cab I've had. Sounds like I'm playing through a great PA with a quality sound man at the helm.
And I've been running the tweet full on.

I've been running 2 super compacts with a GK 700rb ii.
It's a great setup, and I've got no complaints, but the last 2 gigs I played through provided backlines I felt like I've cut through way better.
The backlines were an mbf800 with a neo 115 and a mesa mpulse 600 with a mesa 4x10.
I don't know how it sounded in the room, but from where I was standing, it sounded like these cabs have a bigger emphasis on the mids.
Would the retro series be more similar to these cabs?
Alternatively, any tips for specific EQ points to get more of that voicing from my Super Compacts?

You might like a cab with Barefaced's 10's in it such as a Two10 or Four10. I have a BB2 (similar to SC but with a tweet), One10, and now a Four10. While I like the BB2 12" voicing, with it's thick and rich velvety lows and mids, I can see where you might feel like some cabs can give you more "cut" in the mids. The BF 10's do that very nicely, it's a bit more colored but in a way I like ( I had used 4x10's for decades so it feel quite natural). Four10, in the very short time I've had it, seems nice and punchy while still giving you good lows.
Also, consider that maybe it's the amp, and not the cab, that isn't just right for you or isn't giving you what you want. I have a GK MB Fusion 800 (which you used in the backline) and I can get some good cut w/ it through the Big Baby 2. I boost mids (spec. high-mid) more than I ever used to now that I run the BB2, so don't be afraid to be more drastic pushing up mids with your SC. Sorry, I do not have any specific EQ points to recommend.
Finally, I am not sure if the 2 cabs you recently used have horns, but obviously the SC doesn't.... maybe a horned cab like a Big Baby 2 might give you a little more cut-through. This is obviously more of a highs rather than mids thing, but sometimes that high mid sizzle can make it seem like you're getting more punch, at least to me. Just a few thoughts. Hope you find the tone you're looking for; my experience is the BF cabs respond to EQ well but sometimes you have to give it the instructions, so to speak, instead of just relying on the cab to be plugged-in, turned-on, and awesome.
I generally EQ my GK to be flatish (true flat, not knobs at noon flat) so I think you're right about being more aggressive with my EQ. I guess I'm just curious about what that curve should look like to get where I'm trying to go (I'm all for trusting my ears, but I like being able to quantify stuff). Plus, with the 4x10, I can't help but feel an itch for some new gear.

Try knobs at noon. Sounds great with my 700rb through my SC.

Don't EQ your amp to be 'flat-ish', EQ it to where it sounds best! 
The 12XN cabs are all stronger in the mids than the 10CR ones.

Agreed, I should've said that i use flat as a starting point. The bump is just so striking that I was just curious as to what frequency I should be boosting to get there.
