Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

That silver cloth looks real sweet with the GK on top. Still sometimes wonder whether I should have got a cloth grill but when you have a physically large tube head on top of a cab mismatched grill cloths stand out. I never liked the aesthetics of the orange head on top of the ampeg 212 av grill, or the ampeg v4b grill cloth clashing with the fender 810 cloth, so for me with my visually unsubtle tube heads the metal grill is quite neutral. Must admit the Fender Super Bassman would be a perfect match with the four 10 cloth though. The other thing I always have to consider is that I carry most of the band gear in my van, and at the end of a gig things can get pretty cluttered back there no matter how well I try to pack it, so the metal grill provides just a little more peace of mind when I am driving home.
So looking forward to playing this with the band next weekend. And of course I have been eyeing a big baby 2 on the website. As you do.... this would mean a gk purchase as I couldn't fit one of my tube heads on top..... darned gas...darned Barefaced...bloody reviews, must stop reading them:laugh:

The BB2 has feet on the base and one side so you can rotate it to fit big amps neatly on top! ;)

What a great looking combination. Kind of supports my leaning towards metal grills with big tube heads unless you can get a perfect grill match, and nice that the 400+ is a narrower head so fits well. Mind you, I have been using a Bergantino NV215 as my big rig up till now so I am used to that look. Good to see pics of rigs turning up. I have owned a 400+, one of the gruntier tube heads I have played. Bet it kicks ass with the Barefaced. Been playing the 63 Jazz through the Four 10 with the Orange, then put the 59 P into it - talk about vintage vibe!!:hyper::hyper:
But that cloth grill still looks so sweet by itself, almost want to get one to put it in the lounge as a coffee table just so I can look at itdrool

Now y'all have gone and done it. I really want a BB2 now. But, maybe my 100W V4BH isn't enough.

If only the Super Bassman were available in a rack mount configuration...

But then again, it it works well on its side...

Or should I look into the new Mesa tube heads to go with it?

:)

I almost played my V4B instead of the 400+ this weekend but didn't. I'll definitely be checking it out in the next couple of weeks.

I had a Prodigy but preferred the 400+ to it. Not that the Prodigy was bad, just not my preference.

My One10 had to be delivered already by now but today I got a note that the delivery is returned to UK as they can not ship to residents in Russia without some additional trade agreement or smth like that... Bad news.

Oh man, that is horrible. Hopefully there is some kind of mistake. Normally I reserve this for natural disasters and untimely deaths, but... thoughts and prayers. No person should have to get close enough to a One10 to taste it, and then have it cruelly snatched away.

Love it... Great little amp! killer tone... Solid, punchy, great note definition... very articulate. Only problem ... my cabs have been falling short. That is all about to change.:D
I've heard nothing but good things. I am very happy with my Mesa D800 and TecAmp S212. But I have always had two amps. I sold my Ampeg V4b and Orange AD200. I'm looking at either the Demeter 800, Aguilar DB751, or Monique/Minnie. I would pair it with a BB2.

I am convinced about Barefaced cabs. A friend has two BB2s with a DB751. Incredible. I've heard him use a Tobehammer with one BB2. Great as well. Please report on the cabinet when you get it!

I used to have a Tonehammer. Moved on because I wanted more power. Then came a DB751. Plenty of power... great amp. WAAYYY too heavy for me. The Demmie is the right combination with plenty of power in a light weight package.
I'll definitely report on the cab once I get it.

Congrats on the package of awesome you have on the way!

Hey, I used to live in eastern Kansas, in Lawrence. I always thought Big Brutus (the gigantic steam shovel that made Pittsburg KS famous) would be a great name for a thrash band or something.

Thanks... I'm pretty stoked... Should definitely be a package of awesome.

Haha.... Nice... Surprised someone hasn't named a band after it. I think I have a picture of me somewhere when I was a kid standing inside that monster scoop.

Ordered my first Barefaced today, the Two 10. Definitely looking forward to it!

Will pair with my 4003 Ric and either Ashdown CTM-15, Ampeg V4b, or Reiner Studio 1200, depending on what I'm doing.
You won't be disappointed. Haven't played my 4003 through the Four 10 yet but I can only imagine that it will be a great match given my experience so far. Note to self...dig out the Ric tonight.

He guys if anyone is interested I'm looking to sell my Super Twin (black grill, BF cover) as well as my Super Compact (silver grill, BF cover). I just thought I'd post it here before I list them. Send me a PM if you might be interested. I have someone coming by tomorrow to take a look at the Super Twin. If it doesn't work out, I'll list them.
Can't figure out how to PM you, but what are you asking for the Super Compact.
