My steel faced Four10 tipped over on the way to the gig this weekend and ended up resting on the edge/corner of the merch crate which if it were cloth it likely would have smooshed the cloth. Gotta get a cover........ Fun gig, great tone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I need an excuse to post this pic of my current rig? Markbass SA450 with a 4-ohm Barefaced Two10 and a Road Worn P Bass strung with La Bella flats. Lush joy!
I am a P with flats guy. How is this 2x10 working out for you?
IMO having a cover for the Four10 with cloth grill, like mine, is mandatory. The Barefaced-branded cover is very nice-- snug, thickly padded. Highly recommended. I have no worries now that I have the cover for transport. Prior to getting it I was always concerned about the cab tipping face forward while riding in the back of the SUV onto something, and likewise felt it was not ideal to tightly pack the cab against other stuff to prevent tipping because of wear and tear on the corners/edges/cloth grill from contact. Being only 13" wide front-to-back and with ferrite magnets front-mounted in a very lightweight enclosure does make it mildly front-heavy. Not a problem set up on a stage, but in a pitching vehicle it can be.
And yeah, really incredible tone outta that thing. I am using either a Super Bassman, PF-50T, or GK MBF800 through it most of the time. The cloth grill is beautiful.

Thanks.. I was awestruck when I pulled it out of the box. Couldn't believe how light it was, and how big the sound coming out of it was.
Just got home from band rehearsal with my 70s/80s rock/metal band. I always struggle to hear myself in our space, a lot of it being due to the shape of the room and how far (or not) I can get away from my cabinet. Usually it ends up turning into volume wars. Tonight was the first night where I could clearly hear myself the entire time. Big, loud, punchy, lots of mids, clear and articulate while not being overbearing in the high end. So far, very impressed with this cabinet. Can't wait for the next gig, though unfortunately I have nothing scheduled for a while.
I think your choice is pretty much down to form factor, smaller footprint and lighter Super Twin or larger footprint Four10 in all other respects there really isn't much in it. Other than that, the sound is obviously gonna be different but both can be EQ'd to taste.
You'll get a great sound from either, for my money I'd rather have the lighter Super Twin.

I noticed my Big Baby hit another level after about 8-10 hours of gig playing. Hard to put in words ... seemed to become more well defined, quicker, punchier. Best I can do :-\
I wasn't cranking my Super Compact very hard, so it took a little while. The cab wen't from sounding a little congested/honky/mid-forward to sounding balanced (well, up to the roll-off point of the cab).
Yeah, no manual here either. I'm going to hook up my V4B later tonight to compare it to the Mesa.
Thinking Barefaced goes the downloadable PDF route on its manuals.
I vaguely remember getting a printed sheet with my Super Compact.

Correction - the .pdf manual was emailed to me with the shipping confirmation.
I never got an official shipping notice, but I did get an email from Fedex saying it was shipped. (I have an account and get updates emailed when anything gets shipped to my address). I will follow back up with Alex, though I don't expect to really need a manual for this thing. Just plug the amp in, crank it up and rock.
I've never noticed a shortage of low end, definition or projection from my ST, and I load it out with one arm! I can't say enough about the portability and tone of the ST.
Yep. It didn't bother me at all not receiving a manual nor did I really expect one. Everything I need to know (basically just the specs) is available on the website.
