Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

I need a Club advice, guys.... I still can not dial in "my tone" with Aguilar TH500 and One10 stack. It kinda lack definition and to me it sounds sort of muddy. I still can not figure out what is the main reason for it, TH or One10? So I'm now thinking of either selling TH to buy smth cleaner sounding amp OR selling One10 (at least one of them) and buy SM to have a flat responce cab. BTW I also paired One10 stack with GK MB200, it sounds cleaner than TH but still not the way I am expecting. What do you think?

Having owned a TH pre and a One10, my thought is that you've got too much of a good thing. The thick, chewey TH sound might better fit with a 12" driver BF offering. I think you probably need to flip one or the other, but it'd be a tough choice which one.

I like my TH and One 10, the key to the TH is of course the Drive control, which rolls off the highs and the very lows. How are you using the Drive? Seeing that the One 10 does not had a tweeter, running the Drive up really high may take off too much of the high end. I tend to run it around 9:00 - 10:00 with the Gain off for a clean tone.

So if you don't like the TH with the Drive off then you may like the GK MB series as they are way brighter than anything you will get out of a TH.

I tried to play with the Drive knob not long ago and my impression is that it makes tone a bit "wet" which I like but I can not hear any highs roll off with it fully clock wise with the gain off. My actual setting is drive at 3, gain at 9 and master at 12.

I tried the Aguilar TH with both my One10 and Super Midget. I didn't care for it with either and got rid of the TH. My Demeter and Ampeg PF-50T amps both sounded great through my One10 and SM, though I preferred the tube tone through the One10. As a result, I sold the SM and added a second One10, similar to your setup. Very satisfied.

This IS very interesting...keeps me thinking what to unload and what to keep. Interesting that I once tried One10 with all-tube Orange amp and this combo just slayed.
