Has anyone used a Mesa D800+ with a BT2, BB2, or ST? I'd be interested in how the high pass filter could be used to adjust the depth of that big low end. It seems like they would work very well together.

For those interested, here is a breakdown of the cost per speaker and weight per speaker. The Six10 looks like the best value!
I think I may have found the cure for my GAS. These cabinets really are incredible! Amazing how small and light the SM is and still puts out like it does. Truly an engineering miracle.

The Big Twin II performed exceptionally well at our gig last night. Pushed it with a Darkglass MT900. We were "side-washing" our amps, and I was in the mains, as well, so it was pretty much just coasting along. Sounded great on both electric and upright.

I just got confirmed that barefaced received my final payment for the big twin 2. As they said, it will hopefully get shipped in the next days.

OK so I can only buy one cabinet so I am considering the BB2 but am worried that some of my gigs will need more so should I just go ahead and get the BT2 and be done with it or am I just being paranoid about the BB2 maybe not being able to handle anything I throw at it. We always have PA support.
My GAS right now is over the roof. I shall patiently wait in line good sir

I ordered 2 BB2's just because I want the ability to run my amp @ 4 ohms. I'm in the same position. If you read through the last 6 or so pages of this thread. It covers the opinions of BB2 users quite well. The general consensus seems to point in the direction of "one" BB2 will cover every need. However in my case I want the convenience having a cab in more than one location. If I ever perform an outdoor gig or just want the extra balls I'll run both.
I'm sure Alex will be here with a reply at some point but I think his advice is to not turn up the HPF on the amp as it affects the cooling of the coils.
Probably best to just use the bass, voice, deep and bright switches to control the low end.

Yeah I did not even think about the 4ohms I think I may have just made my decision. The BT2 is 4 ohms so for me to get the most out of my amp I guess I should just go with it and be done. Thanks saltydude
BT2 is actually a 4ohm cab.

It depends what you want. Being able to go modular or have a one cab solution. I personally prefer to be modular because for pub gigs etc you really don't need a 1600W BT2 screaming its soul out
On the other hand, a single BT2 will cost less than a pair of BBs so I finally then decided to go with a BT2. It is a good balance between portability, weight and power.
If I get the sound I want out of the BT2, I might actually end up ordering another BB in the future to be more compact when needed. Or a midget or something.
Edit: Oh and btw, you don't need to stress out because of ohms. 2 8 ohm BBs will run in 4 ohm mode as will a 4 ohm BT2. So you will have the same amp juice anyways.
How would I go about getting one of these? I live in Canada, would I have to order straight from their website?
