I used PayPal as I couldn't figure it out either. Used PayPal Credit but doesn't seem to give me the 6 months to pay off. Weird.
Personally, I found using PayPal to be the easiest method. I checked out the whole bank thing and it seemed a bit to complicated for me, and after comparing costs between the two methods, I figured it was worth the slightly higher cost of using PayPal (I think PayPal cost about $5 more).
Great, I was told paypal would be a fee but if it is this much trouble to do a bank transfer I will just let paypal have the headaches. It is a big enough headache just waiting for this thing to be built. I really wish I could have mine for a gig next Friday here in town but I highly doubt I will be that lucky. We only play in town every couple months so my friends won't get to hear it until May.
That's the problem. You can only use pp credit if they invoice you through pp which they don't. My problem is wire transfer vs. transfer between a "new" account. The info the bank wants vs. what's provided doesn't seem to quite line up. Keep in mind it's probably quite simple, I just don't know banking nomenclature.
Well I do work for a bank and make wires and they are not all that difficult as long as you have the correct bank information.
I gave them my down payment around Jan 20th.
The BofA website couldn't do it so I went to a branch. They tried to charge me $30 and I told them to stuff it. In the name of customer service they waived it.
My bank was a little confused as well when it came to final payment transfer. They requested more info.
Barefaced was using something like American Express Services as an intermediary. Plus as others have stated. Even if my Bank straitened out who exactly to make the transfer to, there would be a significant charge.

When I paid for my One10 last year I used my bank's online transfer to the BoA AMEX account. All seemed ok until about two months after I received the cab. I got notified by my bank that BoA refused the payment and was crediting the $$$ back to my account. I notified Barefaced and then tried again. A couple days later the same thing happened: payment refused by BoA. I contacted BF again. Then I went to my bank in person and after nearly an hour of the bank employee screwing around trying to figure it out I found out that my bank's fee was more than Paypal was. I said the hell with that and went home and paid it with Paypal (not credit... straight payment). Finally BF got paid and I didn't feel like a slimeball.

I absorbed the cost of PayPal for the convenience. Never once looked back on it as a bad decision.
My bank doesn't seem to be very upfront about there being a fee or if it is a free service so I will probably just do paypal as well. None of it will really matter until monday at this point anyway.
I really thought about it, but that's $40. The reason I jumped on it is to take advantage of their weak currency and that made it $50 cheaper. If I hand that over to Paypal I feel like a dope.
I've made other choices in life that make $40-$50 less meaningful in my choice of purchasing gear at this price point. I understand others aren't in the same boat.

It's the Feds, man. Both the US gov and their collections agent FedEx. If you don't pay it I'm sure FedEX will contact you several times and if no result you'll be hearing from your favorite Uncle. Sam, that is.
