When I got my BB2 it cured my gas
I was so happy
It was everything I wanted in cab

Then I started thinking it would be great to have an even smaller cab for practice and small gigs
So I got a super midget
I was so happy

Then I played an outdoor gig and stacked the SM on top of the BB2. It sounded awesome
I was so happy

Then I started thinking a Big Twin would be even better

Barefaced doesn't cure GAS, it makes it worse!

Any of you cats with the 12" cabs might appreciate this. I just snagged a DSM Omnicab Sim Deluxe. It is an analog cab sim pedal that allows you to dial in eq curves and characteristics of various general styles of cabs. It controls the cutoff and resonance and scoop with separate knobs. I just had a few minutes to test it tonight, and it makes my BB2 a chameleon. I can see it being super useful going DI too.

I did baby the same idea, because the bb2 is so neutral and filtering should shine trough. I stopped because what I like is the complex result of micing a cab, wich obviously adds the microphone voicing to the game.

But...your post has actually my attention, and I would like to listen to your thoughts after a good period of use and tweaking

Looks like another user of the OCSD did some measurements of what the pedal knobs do and posted graphs of the results. Since I think a few folks here like to geek out on such stuff, I'd suggest giving this thread a read.

As I get more play time in, I'll provide updates. Based on my current brief experience, I've already begun toying with the idea of only using a power amp with the pedal as "preamp" to eq the sound. It does have ways to boost/cut the lows/mids/highs. I'm going to try running a few other boxes ahead of it. I have Noble, which I'm considering selling, and a Darkglass AO, and a Dunwich DA120. Each of those could handle preamp eq duties.​

Thanks monster...my bb2 is fantastic but having possibilities does not hurt

Jeez, has anyone ever SOLD a Noble?!?! (Other than to buy more Barefaced!)

Well I'm one of those who has the Noble in front of a R.A.D. engineered ICE 1000 amp into a Super Midget and couldn't be more pleased wiht the combination. It's a winner especially because the tone is superb with both 5-string electric and acoustic bass guitar. Super simple. Two tone knobs, one volume knob and a low cut switch. Lets me focus on playing instead of knob twisting. The SM sounds gorgeous wherever the dials land.

The simplicity of it is what drew me to it. The phenomenal tones , yes plural, was just an added bonus
