I think the differences in sound between the 10' series and the 12" series speaker cabs by Barefaced have been pretty thoroughly covered in this thread, though its long so probably easy to miss... 10's are more colored, vintage-y but they can do more than be vintage-y... 12's are more clear... BT2 has a horn so maybe you'd miss that, dunno... The 10's are also good, probably better, if you use tube amps or a distorted, overdriven tone.

I'd suggest that if you like the sound of the BT2, but want something small and easily portable for smaller gigs, consider a Super Midget... 21 pounds, 12" speaker, horn... small box, about the size of a small guitar amp (like a Fender Champ or something). There is no small gig it won't handle with aplomb, and many bigger gigs as well. I don't have the Two10 or the BT2 but I do have a SM and a BB2, which are similar in sound to the BT2, and a One10 and Four10, similar in sound to a Two10.

I've used both but not side by side, and not with the same head. I'd roughly say they are close, and that one isn't likely to be massively louder. The video posted above, showing Alex talking about the cab history, mentions how the 12" driver they use is similar in displacement to a 3015LF, if I recall correctly.

Edit: The BB2 is a fair bit easier to move, if you care about such things.

Im not too worried about ease of movement. 40 -50 pounds is fine. Im looking for a ONE Cab situation.. I've gone thru many the past 6 months.
I do some very large gigs with some pop stars that always have great PA and monitors. Those gigs have a crew. But i want to use the cab in bar gigs too..
I currently use a 3015 non LF in a genz cab that is real loud for what it is. I think i will get smoother tone with a BF BB2 or a F115. But i need it to be at least as loud as my current 3015 or louder ..

No way to try either one where i am.

Beautiful! With regard to cab orientation, what difference does it make whether the ports are up the side (photo 4), across the top (photo 5), or across the bottom (i.e., on the floor)?

And is the BBQ brisket at the County Line still as good as ever??? (My brother used to live in Austin).

I asked that orientation question a while back and the general consensus was that it didn't matter which way the cab was set. Purely an ascthetical choice.

As far the County Line, I've always preferred their smoked turkey breast just ahead of the brisket, but man, it's all goooood!:bassist:

If you are comparing to the Uber 15 cab, on paper both the fEarless 15 and BT 2 will be louder.

Another factor is space - how much surface area is available on top to place amp etc. The wedge form factor reduces available space, and if you need to put a bunch of gear up there, make sure the fEarless 115 has enough (if you go that route). The BT2 will provide a uniform rectangle instead of the smaller triangle of space.

I've owned and gigged fEarless and Barefaced cabs. Both lines are great. I'm happier with my Barefaced Super Midget because it provides more built in tonal flexiblity, is lighter, and has a superior build quality. I've also had two BB2s. All excellent gear!
