I apologize if this has been covered previously, but what is the reasoning behind the 2 ohm and 8 ohm offerings as opposed to an 8 ohm or 4ohm for the 410 cab? Does it have to do with the inherent impedance of the 10" driver? ) I'm just curious and trying to do all my "research" before settling on a cab to eventually replace my Mesa Powerhouse 4ohm 210, as ALL of the Barefaced cabs look attractive for my musical purposes!

Not to answer for Alex, but if you have an 8 ohm 410 (wired series/parallel internally) then your only other option is 2 ohm (wired all parallel internally). It cannot be 4 ohm using the same driver.

I believe the origin of this uncommon impedance structure across the 10" series is the fact the original goal was a 610 at 4 Ohms, and the other models came to be after that.
Here's a useful bit from the Two10 page on the BF site:
12 or 4 ohm impedance?
The 12 ohm version allows you to use up to three cabs with a solidstate amp with a 4 ohm minimum load. Many solidstate amps will run four cabs because the resulting 3 ohm load is easy enough. When using one 12 ohm cab you'll get 2/3 of the power you'd normally get into an 8 ohm cab but unlike most small 8 ohm cabs the Two10 will handle all that power without distorting so will usually play louder.
With valve/tube amps you should use the 8 ohm or 16 ohm tap with a single 12 ohm cab, 8 ohm or 4 ohm tap with two cabs, 4 ohm tap with three cabs, 2 or 4 ohm tap with four cabs, 2 ohm tap with five or six cabs.
The stack has been officially assembled for their first gig together.

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
The sweet thing is that the older Two10's can be converted and the new ones are switchable between 4-12 ohms. IIRC.
Mix and match as required.
Just received by Big Baby II. Still warming up, but i directly noticed more clarity and articulation, it brings out everything i do with my fingers. and the output volume wow. My B strings resonates without any muddled sound.

Plenty loud enough. I wish I had a better report. The mix was bad. Everyone was too loud. The juice was bad. My wireless, compressor and wah pedal weren't playing well together. Took me awhile to get everything adjusted to reduce the interference issues and in turn I couldn't quite set everything the way I wanted it.
Just one of those nights i guess.
ETA: Now that I have all my gear at home I'm going to set it back up and try dialing this system in again.

I'll admit it was overkill. I rocked that same club with 2 BB2's and it was heavenly. I'm still not sure what happened last night.
However!!! now that I remember. That night with the 2 BB2's I had no FOH. Yup mmmmm hmmm that's a big clue. Still both guitarists and even vocals were having feedback and interference issues as well. Something was wrong.
The new ones cannot be switched between 4 and 12 ohms.
There was discussion about them maybe developing such a thing, and apparently there have been design discussions within the company about it, but the last time I communicated with Alex about that, it was in the early, theoretical phase. Alex wasn't sure how it could be done effectively and at a reasonable cost. I've heard nothing about it going any farther than just contemplating it.

I have a switchable one on order, actually. I think it's on the website as an option now, even.
Yes, it is, it's a $65 USD upcharge. That option has seriously got me gas'ing for a Two 10.

(edit to add) I have a Four10, but was hesitant about adding a 12 0hm Two10 to make a Six10 b/c I would need to use my higher powered amps to use the 12-ohm model as a stand-alone. I am finding there are places/times that I would like to use the great tone of the BF 10's with a tube amp in smaller venues but didn't want to drag out the Four10. The switchable Two10 is perfect-- can be an add-on to the Four10 or a well-powered stand-alone. I've often said that the formerly mythical switchable Two10 was the only cab I might ever GAS for, since I otherwise have the last cabs I'll ever need (BB2, SM, One10, Four10). Now... he's gone and done it.

If you use two 12ohm Two10s you get 6ohm... It really isn't much different at all from 4ohm in terms of how loud it can get.
