Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

I like the look, and it will move the handle up higher which is also nice.
Do you leave it attached while playing or do you have to detach/reattach?
So far I have never played with it attached. The thought actually never occurred to me; I'd be afraid it would rattle or something. I don't always use it; it depends where I'm taking the cab. The higher handle really does make it much easier to negotiate rough terrain and especially stairs. Also makes it much easier for me to do single-trip load-ins&outs when that is necessary.

Quick question for you Barefaced fans...have any of you recently come from a quality 215 setup to a Super Twin or Big Twin?

If so, can you comment on the differences you've noticed outside of weight and size?

Do you ever miss your 15s at all?

Can't help you with that. I ran a 115 Mesa PH before, and I use a BB2 now. Can't comment on the dual woofer factor, but I don't feel I miss anything changing from the 115 to the Barefaced 112. I did really like the Mesa, and it was voiced differently, but I don't feel the Barefaced is missing anything.

I find my supertwin is so light i just lift it if the ground looks dicey, i save the wheels for nice flat surfaces
In theory yeah. But I keep finding myself with amp, bass gigbag, BTII, and music stand, and a long stretch of lumpy parking lot. I can move it all in one trip using the wheels I just don't have enough hands to pick it up at that point.

I actually have one of the awesome Remin Kart-a-bag carts (great wheels, goes up and down stairs), and that works great. But instead of attaching and detaching the cab from the cart, it would be a nice time saver to have it all as a (semi-?) permanent part of the cabinet.

I also own a 2x15 cab.. not a high quality one.. it's an ancient H|H (pre Laney) from the 70's.
I still use the cab for rehearsals. The BTII sounds WAY better and has better dispersion.

I don't have the link at hand, but there is a BF clip in which Alex explains that there is no difference between 10", 12" and 15".. in terms of lows.

I have definitely heard a lot of very, very smart people say this - but whether its lows, dispersion, musical content etc - my ears tell me they prefer 15s over 12s when I am dealing with cabs or drivers of equal quality/price range (Berg/Mesa/Eminence).

However, I have a chance to pickup a Supertwin semi-locally - and that cab is at the top of my GAS list.....

Why not grab it and try it out, you could always flip it.

One of the things I've observed is the sound you prefer from bigger woofers may have more to do with cab design and how the sound comes out of a bigger enclosure than the driver itself.

I know this is a long shot, but if anyone is looking to sell a Two 10 I am looking for one. I was going to order new but thought I post this first before placing the order just in case. Please PM me if you have one you would like to sell.

I would also consider a One 10 if there is one available. Thanks!

I was considering selling my Two10 to get a ST but right now am running my Eden WT800C bridged into it (not sure why I haven't done this before) and holy H. E. double hockey sticks, it's good. Very freaking good.
