After what I just heard I don't know who would. I'm going to have to gig my new cab. It might just be too much for my jam space. Originally it wasn't particularly intended for lots of gigging but I'm already rethinking that.

The EightX10 is an amazing deal though. Instant too. No waiting.

I am looking into getting a 2-ohm-capable amp so that I can do that, too. Then I could effectively be able to do One10, Two10, Three10, Four10, or Six10, with my various cabs. BB800 says it can do 2 ohms but might clip at high volumes, so I was leaning toward a Handbox amp, modified to accommodate 2 ohm use. I need to find a store that has the Quilter amps so I can see what the fuss is all about. Lotta people sing their praises, only heard one person that didn't care for them.

I've had the Two10S out the last 2 nights and a third gig tonight, on its own, all smallish/not loud gigs... the tone's great, and it's the right size to be able to do big or small-- great when you don't know a venue until you get there. There were times when the One10 was not enough and the Four10 was overkill. Now, I can choose either the Two10 or the SM for that role. The Two10 gets plenty of low, more than the One10-- naturally, as it's a bigger box. Still haven't pushed the Two10 yet. Did I mention, it looks great with the silver cloth grill?

I have personally and have seen posts from others that also have run it at 2 ohms without issue. I don't think you would want to run it flat out but at normal(?) levels it seems to be fine. YMMV

Well it arrived unscathed. The Tolex is a bit different. More of like a leather feel to it as opposed to the deeper textured Tolex on my BB2 and Super Midget.

Didn't get the only extra thing I requested. A "couple" of stickers.
Don't worry Salty "everyone gets stickers" uh huh. Not the end of the world. The Cabinet in good condition is the important thing. They sent me a Speakon lead which I didn't ask for but I guess it's better than a sticker.

B|Amp is another 2 ohm option. I own one and it is an awesome amp

In general, Talkbass is not the place to come if you want to be talked OUT of buying new gear. But if you come into an enthusiasts thread, especially this one, well, you should already know what kind of responses you'll get. ;)

I do on occasion but the B|Amp is primarily my ABG/URB/AEG amp because of it's compressor, HPF, and variable EQ frequencies/ widths. I use it with a Fearless F110 and am awaiting an MAS 18. It is also fairly neutral sounding so it serves that purpose well. The profiles are icing on the cake, you don't need any more EQ than it provides w/o utilizing the profiles.

I have a Two10 and a SuperTwin, plus a couple of AK cabs.

But I want it anyway. Even though I'd never be able to use it anywhere near its capability.

Even though I'm not using them right at this moment, I have a pair of BB800's and it is a fantastic amp! Super powerful, super light, super small, and super cool. The EQ takes a bit of getting used to, but you can dial in just about whatever you want. I may end up selling one of them, but it's not because I don't like it...

After I get my second BTII, I may try to hook them both up to a BB800 and see what it's like at 2ohms.

The Barefaced tens are a great match with the Mesa 800+, which will comfortably do 2 ohms. First time my band mates have been blown away when I have bought a non-tube head to a gig as I am a tube lover from forever. I must say it impressed the heck out of me too, and I only bought the Mesa as a backup head. Worth a try if you get the opportunity.

I'm guessing you're talking to me? I'm actually running a wet/dry setup. So each amp would, in fact, be running its own cab. The only reason I'm not using them right now, is because I'm running two TC Electronics SpectaDrive preamps on my pedalboard. Each one of those is feeding a side of a QSC GX7 power amp and each side of the power amp feeds it's own cab. Soon to be two BTII's...
