I'm currently borrowing a SM for testing, and the Super Compact I ordered arrived last week but it was damaged in shipment so I don't know how they sound together but it should be fantastic. They sound very similar, with the SC having more lows, and the SM having more highs (thanks to the tweeter).

Visually though....I don't know if I would personally do it now that I see what it looks like. I had considered it, as having the option of either cab or both together would be fantastic. However, my OCD goes haywire with the SM on top because it's about an inch wider and the logo is sideways. Turning the SM upright is better, but now the SC is wider..but it's on the bottom so it's not as big of a deal. Plus the logo and ports are aligned correctly!

And I know these pics can be misleading since the SM has a cloth grill with piping that throws off the perspective.

Thanks -- that balance of the SC with lows and SM with tweeter (as needed) would be what I might end up after. I don't mind the slightly narrower SM upright on the SC, and I'd have them both with metal grills. Curious to hear from anyone who has been able to use them together. Sorry about your damaged SC!

Yeah if both had matching grills I think it would look great, looking at it again there's not a huge difference in the width.

I believe @chris_b combines SC and SM, you might consider PM'ing him.

I run 2 SC's and I borrowed an SM for a couple of weeks to put with 1 of the SC's.

The SM tightened up the sound for me on stage and added some extra top. All what you'd expect and IMO a good improvement. Out front I think the differences were more subtle.

I liked it, I'll keep both SC's but am seriously thinking about adding the Super Midget.

As much as I love my single One10, I've been considering making the jump to a different BF cab that has the potential for more volume. My amp is a GK MB200, and I don't need a tweeter. So far, I'm weighing the following options.

Super Compact
Two10
A second One10

Any advice? I'd ideally like to have an all-in-one solution instead of a modular rig, and the SC seems to be the most attractive based on size and weight. I'm not opposed to buying a more powerful amp later, but for now, I'd like to stick with what I have.

If you're really happy with the tone of the One10 but want more of that, then (for me) I'd really lean towards the Two10 more than a second One10. Then you still have a one hand grab. SC is flatter though it's range and lighter though so it depends what you want there.

Difficult question to answer.

Two One10 cabs will sound the same as one One10 but better and louder. If you got a Two10 you could use both cabs to make a Three10 which would sound great if you buy a 2.67 ohm capable amp in the future. This rig might change your mind on the non-modular requirement. A Super Compact would sound excellent as well.

I have all those cabs and right now I would not be able to decide which would stay or go if I was slimming down to a single cab. Sorry, this is no help at all!

As @Lowendtech said, if you really love the tone of your One10, and your new interest is being able to put out more volume without changing heads, then the Two10 is the logical choice. The cone surface area of a Two10 is about 40% greater than a Super Compact. I just got a Two10, very nice cab.

I also have a SM and BB2 but both are tweeted so I can't speak to an SC, but can imagine-- I run the horn down a lot quite often. The SM and BB2 are also excellent, and who knows-- you might love them even more than 10's? Your One10 can be added to the 10's stack later to make a Three10 when/if you someday change amps; in the mean time the One10 is your practice/ livingroom/small gig monster. I also have the One10 and use it thusly; and have not yet tried the Three10 since I don't have a 2.67 ohm capable amp. Not really needed but would be fun-- Two10 puts out a lot, and if you feel the One10 is nearly cutting it as is, the Two10 would be a beast.

I have recently got that setup, tried it at home although I haven't gigged with it yet. I know from experience BF cabs can be taken loud but most of my gigs don't require me to be really loud. What I like is the clean density of sound that these cabs produce even at moderate or low volume levels. So whilst those two cabs will give me a lot of volume and bottom end for my reggae gigs, they give me a really hifi sound for the stuff I do with primarily acoustic gigs or jazz funk. I've just last week changed the QSC for a Crown XLS1502 , only due to a desire to reduce the weight of my rack to make it easier to carry on gigs.

The Two10 definitely seems like the most attractive option for me, especially since I don't want to change heads right now. The only downside is the size, but after checking out the dimensions, it's not much different than the SC. No matter which one I choose, I'd likely sell the One10 to fund it.

You would not have trouble selling the One10.

Another nice thing about the revised Two10S is that with the switchable impedance ability, you'll have cab and amp combination options for years to come, no matter what do or don't do now.

Random thought: I know everything Barefaced does is based on their two proprietary drivers, which have different design goals and attributes. I wonder if at any point Alex will design a new driver for a cabinet-- say, a 10" product array with a horn. This would of course require an entirely new kind of 10 for Barefaced-- one voiced more like their 12's.

As I said, random thought. Carry on.
