Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Things seem a bit quiet so consider this a bump. Think I am about to order a Super Midget. Circumstances dictate that I need the smallest possible cab for the maximum volume and I think the midget should do it. I can pair it with a Bergantino Forte HP which throws 600 watts into 8 ohms so I am hoping that much power should get it close to my other cabs. And yes, I already own a BB2, One 10, Two10 and Four 10.
Call me a Barefaced fanboy. Alex lists a one to two weeks wait time on the website and it also feels good to be helping my favourite speaker manufacturer stay afloat. He did point out earlier that once covid gets sorted things are likely to get very busy and wait times could be much longer so it is a good idea to get in now - the quiet before the storm. This is a Barefaced thread so I would encourage others to get in now and keep a great business running.

My hi fi system amp is being dumb, so I rearranged my living room and made my Barefaced BB2 PA my primary stereo. It's kinda ridiculous. Unfortunately the off axis listening position I'm in when using my standing desk is less than optimal, but overall, it's fantastic. It's no hi fi system but it's better in some ways, and weaker in others.

Well I did it! Super Midget ordered, I am absolutely confident that it will fill the gap in my setup options. I prefer my P bass with the Four 10 (plus Two 10), but I am liking my recently acquired Sadowsky Will Lee with the Big Baby 2 so I see the Super Midget as giving me options on that front. Plus size is a huge factor due to a change in circumstances at the moment.
Hopefully I won't have to wait too long, but I know and understand that Alex has downsized his workforce due to covid. I will keep y'all posted on delivery times.

Hi Tim, congrats on the new cabinet. I would say my experience is fairly similar to yours; I have a number of BF cabs (BB2, Four10, Two10s, One10) and also an SM which I acquired for virtually identical reasons to yours, a couple of years back. I think you'll be very happy with it as the "smallest box/biggest sound" niche-filler in your arsenal. Also, it gives you options for the BB2 + SM stack. The utility of the SM is high. I trust you'll be pleased with it - since you are well-versed in what BF cabs do. Cheers!

Cheers for that. It is interesting that we have both ended up with an identical array of Barefaced cabs. I am particularly keen to see how the SM reacts with the Forte HP, since one of my main reasons behind getting that head was light weight and its ability to unleash 600 watts into 8 ohms. Hopefully I should get the full potential from the Super Midget.

For the last year my home practice rig has been an 800 watt Thunderfunk through a One10. Tone to die for, even at low volume.
Agree. I use Quilter BB800 with just one One10 and it sounds stellar. Still hesitant about buying back my Super Midget as I'm not sure if I like BF 12' as much as their 10'.

I'm done with the one cab solution, as I think I'll just go modular with a second One10 if the time ever comes. I can 90% of the gigs around here with just my 800w Genzler and a One10, and the other 10% have PA support.
