Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

So I finally got to open up both of my BB3s with the band last night at practice...

My Sweet Lord, it was awesome. Pedalboard > Noble > power section of my SVT7PRO, phasers set to full stun. My guitarist pointed at them and said "DAMN".

No regrets WHATSOEVER about my Mesa Diesels leaving the nest. Both of these weigh less than one of those!

Well, It shipped yesterday and I received My BT3 today. Fedex explained the new policy for the customs forms to me. Customs changed the rules putting responsibility on the Consignee(Customer in USA) to fill out the form.

It's nothing Barefaced can control so I wanted to make that clear.

Barefaced went above and beyond for me by following up with Fedex and offering any customs assistance needed.

So for the second time I received my Barefaced Cab in well under 48 hours from ship time.
Here's a few Pics of my Big Twin Three:

Oh, that's a gorgeous piece of kit. Congrats.

Nice! Glad you replenished and took a step up. I am still totally loving your ex Super Twin.

If you don't mind, I'd like to see the wheels and top handles of BT3. I'm starting to think I'd like a 212 on wheels rather than carrying a pair of 112's.

I have a newly acquired Big Twin. This cab is a beast through my Forte HP.

Anyone use an IR pedal with their Big Twin? Any favorite IR's you gravitate towards?

I'm waiting on delivery of a Nux Studio Mini and considering some of the DR. Bonkers IR's. the Aggie 412 and 810 as well as the Mesa 810 IR's.

I wanted to get IRs from my own Two10 cabs, but I can't say I was ever interested in using a cabinet IR *AND* a speaker at the same time. I only use cab simulations when I do not use my cabs: for DI live, for recording...

Since Barefaced 10 inch cabs are coloured and the 12 inch cabs are neutral, it makes sense I think to use IR with a Big Twin and not with a Two10, does it?

I guess so, actually, good point! I didn't think of using the speakers as a 'neutral canvas'.
I was using a pair of BB2 before I switched to the Two10s and they're indeed a lot more neutral than most other things out there.

The BB2.
The Two10 cabs have a distinct colouration (that I happen to love and made me switch from the pair of BB2 I was using before) while the BB2 appears a lot more neutral, so I can see why they'd be attractive for use with modellers.
Totally agree. I too love the built in character of the tens. I have found that they sound great with any amp, but especially sweet with my Mesa 800+ (with bright switch on) or absolutely killer with Aguilar DB751. The twelves I find particularly suited to the Berg Forte HP where their neutrality works wonders with the tone shaping versatility of the Bergantino firmware. But for the safest option I always lean towards the tens.

I too replaced my mesa powerhouse cabs for barefaced. 4x10 for a Big Twin II, 2x10 for a Big Baby II. To cap it off i got a Dubster 2 and a powered LF800.
I still have a Mesa PH 1x15 that is proving hard to sell but when it does i will most likely get a BF One10T.
I have no regrets at all. Mesa cabs are great and my only issues were not enough clean deep bottom end, which to be fair was only an issue when playing reggae, poor off axis bass response, too heavy.
Big sounds in small packages, BF seem on to a good thing.

Interestingly, I also use a D800+ with the Two10 cabs. They're a great match, aren't they?

I only have a single One10 but have used it with my D800+ and I'll agree they sound fantastic together - and can put out a suprising amount of volume. I have no plans at all to get rid of my pair of Big Baby 2's but have occassionally wondered what a rig built with the Barefaced 10's would sound like.

Ime the tens are basically plug and play whereas the twelves usually get a little bit of tweaking to suit the amp and room. I am a bit of a BF glutton with one 10, two 10, four 10, super midget and big baby 2. Like you I have no plans to get rid of the twelves. Super midget gets the most use for home practice and rehearsals, One 10 gets least use as the sm is not much bigger and does more.
