Nice rig! So the voicing of that ABM-EVO-IV pairs pretty well with the relatively uncolored tone of that Super Twin? What styles of music do you primarily use it for and does that 600 watt A/B amp offer plenty of slam and headroom with that cab? I'm trying to decide between an expensive new ABM-EVO-V 750 and a used ABM-EVO-IV 600.Lovin my rig here in SoCalView attachment 4927128

van driver van de Super Compact het beste resultaat geeft.
For me personally, the formula LxWxH, cabinet content in combination with the character of the Super Compact driver gives the best result.

Does anyone know if the latest version of the Super Twin (version 3?) comes with recessed handles or only the straps?

Ordered a BBIII on 10 Sept. Just received the shipping notice from DHL this morning.
It's too late to do math right now. It was many days. I'm quite sure it will have been worth it.
It is worth the wait. I'm glad Alex and crew are so busy making cabs that they have a 4 month wait. That means they are doing great work making excellent products.
I initially bought a One10T and a BT3 and I liked them so much I ordered a One10 to pair with my One10T as that little cab rocks. I'm still waiting on the One10 I ordered back in November. It will get here when it gets here and I know I'll be happy.
Normally I got an email from the company when something new is being annonced, but I somehow missed the news of "Generation III", also on the website 12XN bass cabs

That page hasn't been updated to reflect the newer cabinets, it still shows the BBII and BTII. Both of those cabinets are generation 3, my BBII is sitting here and that is what is labeled on the back plate. The newer cabinets are now a BBIII and BTIII, not sure if they have a generation number on the back plate since I have older cabs. Both my BBII and SuperTwin say generation 3 on the back. The generation 3 designation is a bit confusing now that the newer cabinets are being made. The company will eventually update the webpage to reflect the new product line, understandable that they are concentrating on making cabinets not redesigning the website. From what I understand if you order a BBII or BTII now you will be contacted and told about the redesigned BBIII and BTIII cabinets that are currently available.
It just occurred to me that the Generation 3 designation on the back of the BBII and other 12XN cabinets may refer solely to the driver being the third generation of the Barefaced 12" drivers and nothing to do with the design of the new cabinets.

I don't have a video, but Davidjamesnhbass brought his BB3 by my gig (I play a super midget), and I was floored by its girth and volume! The videos of the bf cabs on yt , although helpful, don't do these cabs justice.
Honestly, fit the bb3's, imagine a great set of headphones (good studio cans, not bass boosted crap like beats) - but LOUD!! They faithfully reproduce what you feed them.
How does one use a pair of BB2's (or BB3's) with a keyboard instrument? Note, I am making an assumption that one would need a pair, because I'm assuming the keys output is stereo. Are there any stereo amps that would work well for this?

Run the keys stereo or mono signal to something like a small mixer or device that can boost the mic level to line level. Run the line level signal to feed a mono or stereo power amp. Feed the bb3's with the power amp.
Currently got a very old Compact 15, considering retiring it to home use and getting a Two10 for gigging with. I use an Orange Terror Bass, and with it being 500w at 4ohm, seems like it'd be perfect with that cab. Anyone got experience running that rig?
I also considered an additional One10 to stack for larger gigs, but I wonder if there would be much benefit to it. Would one extra speaker really make enough of a volume difference to make the cost worthwhile? It'd put a speaker closer to my ears at least, but I could do that just as easily with a stand.

i bought this abm used. It is so f*** loud. Havent brought input gain past 3 o clock and volume past 9 o clock but i dont play loud gigs. Play all fingerstyle styles. Not to picky with gear just wanted a fat warm tube sound and this one delivers and then some. Ive found it to be very versatile. Id be happy using it for any style unless i wanted the dryest* signal possible since it always leans warm sounding. I think it pairs well with the super twin, because i love the sound of the amp. Have only played about 5 gigs with it so far one medium size outdoor one inside theatre and it was fine. I mainly use my mark-bass small rig but it just crapped out so ill be using this a lot this month..
I have 2x210's and really like having both cabs, even at quiet gigs, to get that speaker close to my ear. My amp is a Mesa 800+, I don't have any problems keeping up with anything. My guess is that a 3x10 setup would be similar - but probably a bit lower than I'd like, especially if I'm carrying two cabs anyway. The two cabs paired can run at 6ohms, so could still work with your amp. I think the 110 and 210 paired run at either 2.67 ohms or 5.33 ohms, but not sure if the 2nd option is ideal - seems like the 110 would get more of the load.
FWIW, I can do a single trip load in with both cabs, amp and bass…it's so much better than my previous rig.
Doubling up on two10s would be good. A bit more expensive, but I'd be planning on buying the One10 later anyway. Shame they aren't available at 8ohm, would be ideal for my needs with two!
As for a Two10 (12ohm)/One10 (8ohm) combo, I make that 4.8ohm total - which seems there or thereabouts. Just concerned there isn't enough extra speaker size to bother with the One10.
The Two10 should be set to 4 ohms to pair with an 8 ohm One10. This will be a 2.67 ohm load but delivers equal power to all 3 drivers. At full power the 310 stack should have a max SPL of 128dB/1m. An 800 watt amp stable at 2 or 2.67 ohms like the Mesa D800+ should work nicely. If the amp can't handle a 2.67 ohm load it probably shouldn't be run with 3 tens.
