Agreed. My main gigging rig is a Mesa Subway D-800+ through one or both of my BB2's. That combination gives me great tone at any volume level I need. I'm very pleased with the combination.

Looks like I may have a mess TT800 coming my way. That should be interesting.
It will be interesting to hear the difference between the older and newer GKs through your cabs.
Prep work for the next few weeks... TT-800 and 2x BB3's. Finally in the meat of festivals!! One tomorrow, two Saturday, and one a week for a few after that.
I've used Mesa D800, Aguilar TH 700, Bergantino Forte, and Quilter BB800 with a pair of One10 cabs for indoor and outdoor stuff with no PA support.
So far, my favorite tones have been with the Aguilar and Mesa. They just have a fullness to the sound that sits very well in a mix with keys, drums, guitars.
There's a post over in the Mesa thread stating that A light head will walk off of a Barefaced 2x10. I wanted to call B/S but figured I'd just ask the question here.
Will a light head walk off of a Barefaced 2x10?
My Barefaced 2x12(BT3) will easily overpower the loudest of drummers with a Mesa TT-800 and not move even a fraction of an inch all night.
I would think that a 2X10 being smaller and more rigid would actually be less likely to vibrate a light head around.
I'll never give up my Barefaced cab, only maybe to replace it with 2 BB3s!

DO NOT put anything light on top of a BB3, or on top of the amp head on a BB3.
I have watched my Pedialyte, Gatorade, adult beverages waddle their way off the rig within a few tunes.
My amps are in Gator cases and even that does not isolate what the cabs are throwing out.
I've posted plenty of pics here, not a single one has stuff on top once sound check is completed.
Go to my profile and view 2xBB3's with either a Genzler MG800 (seafoam rack) or EA iAMP Classic (black rack).

Can't comment on the 2x10 but can confirm, without a towel or something in between, my D800 walks off my Supertwin within minutes of playing.
I don't have a Two10 but I have a pair of Big Baby 2's. For loud gigs, I put my Mesa D-800+ or G-K MB800 on a piece of rubber drawer liner and they stay put.
If you do this, I'd suggest not leaving the drawer liner on the cabinet long term. I did that at home and found that the drawer liner left an imprint on the cabinet.
Of course, I also learned that I don't play at ridiculous volume at home so I really have no need for drawer liner there.

I believe you both. I must just go for a much more mid forward tone along with a good amount of High Pass Filtering. The way I have my EQ set, My Big Twin 3 can just get so far beyond reasonably loud with zero amp movement.
Absolutely! Nobody puts a beer on my rig besides me.
Last gig my WD800 was walking a little on my Two10s. Nothing crazy, just noticed it wasn't straight after the first set. Readjusted it and it did it again after the second set. I'll probably add shelf liner but this is the first time it happened that I recall.
Mine didn't move a BAM200, the one time I used that tiny amp with one of my Two10.
(edit): it was vertical, so perhaps the smaller side is more rigid?)
I normally use a D800+, which is light but perhaps not a superlight given today's standards, with a couple of Two10. That one certainly doesn't move. (edit: Again I use the pair vertically.)
gosh, I've not had anything move on my Super Twin. I put my reading glasses on it.
Interesting. Should I be worried about mine? Sounds great and is deadly loud. Maybe it's just playing on crap stages?
