While I realize it's a video, the trick is not to watch it. What I learned from listening to it is that I'm happier with the Barefaced 12" cabinets than I am with their 10" cabinets.

These demo videos are great. I do wish Alex would use a lapel mic because half of what he says sounds jumbled and unintelligible. I'd also like to hear these demos with the mic closer to the cabinets. Ten feet is a long way, and that doesn't look like a sound treated demo room. Placing the mic 1-2 feet in front of the cab would be more "honest." Even still, the sound and feel of each cab in this video cements my satisfaction with the Super Twin. Much easier to dial in the 310's sound with EQ etc., while the throaty feel of the 310 would be harder to erase whilst attempting to give it the cleaner tone of the Super Twin. But if you only play one style of music appropriate for the 310, it would be a killer lightweight tone monster. Thank you Barefaced for offering wonderful choices!
Here is the first 310T video about the development of the cab with some playing samples as well.
Listening to both cabs in this video, the STT is more throaty and mid-forward than the 310T which has a warmer, fatter tone. They are both good but quite different. The addition of a tweeter is more noticeable on the Super Twin; no surprise but I like what it adds for finger style.
Nate Navarro does killer professional miced demos for Genzler's cabs. I'd love to see him demo the 310T and SST...

I was listening to earlier videos before I picked up my SuperTwin. I think the one a/b/c-ing the Two10, Super Compact, and Big Baby? The voice of each came through and I have no regrets. The new video featuring the 310 is intriguing. I liked the 10’s better with higher gain dirt. But 90% of my playing is clean or mild OD, and the 12’s do that best, to my ears.
That video helped me seal the deal on a Super Compact. Truly a great sounding cab.
Exactly. There’s a lot of room in there to my ears. Still one of there best demo videos. The ST low end is very apparent.
Greetings!...i have been looking at BF cabs for a few years and now that they are offering the two10st in 8ohm and the new three10 in 4ohm im now saving my pennies to get one or the other...(2x210's for modularity or a 310 for single cab solution)...my question is who else is using a Mesa D800+ on any variety of BF cabs (10" cabs or 12" cabs") and how does that head pair with BF cabs and likes/dislikes about it. I get that the variation of pickups/strings/EQ/ and the particular voicing of BF 10" vs 12" cabs will be different. im just looking for a general opinion using that particular head.
They used to have a powered bass cab, but it has been discontinued a few years ago - so I'm not expecting to see this back anytime soon.
For guitarists, it's not exactly a "powered guitar combo amp", it's an optional module they can add to any AVD cab to transform it into a powered cab, so all the AVD cabs are available in powered version. I read you can even ask them to add a speaker input, so you use the cab both self powered with a modeler, or as a regular cab with an external amp. See: The Activier
Maybe they will adapt the concept to bass cab in the future? That would be great, but it might be a technical challenge, since bass cabs require more power than guitar cabs.
Thanks for the well-informed answer! I'll look at a Cab and a power amp then. I'm very tempted by Seymour Duncan, as I have a real good pedal setup. I'll study the Barefaced options for bass.
I have a Barefaced One10, Two10s, and Super Twin. I power them with either my D800+ or a Traynor SB500H.
I play Fender reissue jazz basses with flats - one has really old Fender flats, one has TIs, the other has La Bella LTFs. I like dark, chewy, deep sounds from my bass. I use fingers rather than picks.
The D800+ and the Two10s are fantastic together. Not a bad sound to be found, and the D800+ provides a lot of tonal flexibility. It's quite plug-and-play, however, if I want it t be.
I find the Super Twin to require a bit more knob fiddling to find the right sound for whatever room/situation I'm in. My guess is that the Two10s has slightly more of an inherent tonal flavor while the Super Twin is more transparent.
I've never not been able to achieve the sound/tone I was going for with either the Two10s or ST. The One10 I use for pretty low volume situations. It sounds great, but I don't seem to do much tone tweaking when I use it.
I have a Six10 that I love and is easy to move for its size, but is overkill for most gigs lately. About a month ago I ordered a Two10S for a super portable mini-rig. It will probably be here soon. Looking forward to hearing this little cab.

I have pair of Big Baby 2's and, though I'll sometimes use a couple of different G-K heads, I mostly use my D-800+. I'm very happy with my sound but, even better, is that my bandmates are very happy with my sound, especially our guitarist/soundman. He'll walk out around the room periodically in our first set to hear our mix and he always tells me that the bass sounds "SOOO fat!". That's the most important thing, how I sound out in the room and, since I rarely go through the PA, my rig is what the crowd hears.
I don't use my amp for any noticeable "coloring", I primarily set it so it sounds good in the room with my bass set flat. Then I can take advantage of the controls on the basses to tweak the tone as needed for different songs. That's what I like about the 12" series - they're pretty transparent so the tone of your bass is what comes through. I know for some that transparency and full range sound is a disadvanatage and, for those, the 10" series is probably a better choice. But I don't think either is wrong, it just depends on what you want.

I currently have my D800+ slaved to the power amp output of a GK MB212 combo bypassing the GK preamp and eq section and it feels like i am still getting a lot of the GK baked in tone. Not sure i need the clarity of the 12" barefaced cabs and lean more towards the coloured tone of the 10". I would have liked to match the mesa head with a mesa cab but the mesa 2x10 is too short and boxy for my taste, thus my interest in the barefaced. Alex @barefaced has been quite helpful, but was looking for real world opinions on the d800+ match with barefaced cabs. Thank you!

I love the Six10T for its simplicity - I know I'm getting the SVT rock tone AND will be moving a sh*t-ton of air in the meantime.
I love the BB3's stacked when I'm in a less-than-balls-out environment. Punchy, true FRFR.

What's the current wisdom on how to stack those cabs? When I had a pair of BB2s, I'd flip the top one so the two horns were next to each other. Similar advice came from the fEarFul threads several years ago.
