Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

The Super Compact made its first live appearance over the wknd and it did not disappoint. Quite the contrary. Pleasantly surprised by how clear and loud it was, even with a 100w tube head pushing it. It was my first time playing with this band and they were very happy with my sound. Was told I'll be definitely getting a call back to play again. Also received a few compliments (and 🍺) from the crowd. I don't play out live often so this was a tremendous spirit lifting excercise for me.

And thanks @Erithon for pointing me in the right direction.

I'm not surprized: I've also found my Super Compact surprisingly loud with my 50W tube amp

Here's a weird wish but hear me out:

Barefaced empty boxes that open up for storage.

I often bring a Super Mini. It's super, and it's mini. If I had a second, identical empty box (black sides with cloth grille), I could use it to transport the amp, all the cables, straps and misc. gear, plus I could use it to raise the cab off the bottom a bit and have a nicer looking rig - and a little more credible. People refuse to believe the output of that little cab and they would feel much more comfortable if there was something that looks like a second cab.

Now that I think of it, It would be quite nice if it had two or three drawers in the back (or behind the grille).

There is no good way of doing this.
You could buy a Barefaced cab and strip the insides out which would be a shocking waste and result in a box that was heavier than necessary. Easier would be to find a cabinet (furniture not amp) maker who could build something. A sheet of cloth on one side would look like a grille to the untrained eye. You could find a Marshall or Boss or other logo cheap which could add to the illusion. Problems would be that wooden boxes are not light, so you would carry more, and if someone noticed it wasn't a real cab your credibility might take a hit

Think how fast the box "platform" would melt after someone doused it with beer.....
