ok.... ive done it. second Super Mini has been ordered. ive put it in a cart countless times but finally sealed the deal. for what i do the Mini just has the right voicing. i have a super twin but i just like what the mini puts out, so... why not more of that?! i also like the idea of modular cabs because if the stage volume is too boomy (common where i frequent) i can unplug one cab. with the twin you're committed. (ive wondered if a switch to defeat the lower driver might be a cool feature for such occasions, but maybe the internal volumes become unbalanced with just one driver going?)
ill keep the twin for now, incase i get bigger gigs but we'll see how the mini stack... stacks up.
anyways... now i wait.

I've used my three10 with a Mesa WD800 and a Sisma with loud bands, no bass in the PA. With either amp, the cabinet was easily loud enough and sounded great.

I have a bad back and am retired with limited resources.

I currently use a Fender Rumble 100 combo with a Celestion BN12-300S (4) driver weighs about 20 pounds, running my Cort B5 Element through a Two Notes Opus Modeler - not my ideal rig, but you'd be surprised how good it sounds.

My first decent rig (in ~2000) was a Bergantino HT322 powered by a QSC PLX1602 (bridged) power amp (1600W) with a Demeter VTBP-201S preamp.

My most recent rig before the R100c was a Genz Benz Contour 500-115 with the 115 extension cab.

I just follow threads about great equipment and glean information - been doing that on talkbass for about 22 years.

I've run my 310 with sisma on about 25 gigs so far.
Each one in a different location with different sonic hurdles.
Cab killed in every situation ( with no PA except for one gig)
Volume hasn't been an issue but I play with folks who have sense🤣 ( yes, even all the different guitar players)
I'm not a speaker cab scientist but this cab no matter where I stand just kills.
Put my wireless on and went out front a few times and it's just fabulous.
The sound travels well and does a fantastic job gig after gig.

I did have a couple stages gobble up some volume or presence but out front it was being its normal badass

I buried a drummer with it on Friday.

For me it's perfect and more than loud enough but I'm not playing big gigs or with obnoxious musicians

on a whim i picked up a used Bag End S12-B. ive had several versions of the Bag End 15s including a beautiful set of birch s15's. great sounding cabs, just very heavy (around 46 lbs each). this s12 came up used from GC so i thought why not, ive been looking for a small cab to leave at a friends practice spot. ive never heard the 12" version but when i tried it out at the store it sounded REALLY good. i got a little worried. i got it home and have had the chance to compare it to my Super Mini.. and... they're very similar actually. Very even, very transparent. The BF does have substantially more low end. the BE is a little more mid focused. i played through both with a variety of amps including this beautiful Arkham. im happy with it, but also relieved that the Barefaced pulls more weight in addition to being less then half the weight 😁 i hadn't read the specs and it weighs only 42 pounds!

I have the Four 10 without the tweeter. I use a Streamliner 600/900, and it doesn't really give a lot of treble/highs, but that's what I like. I would imagine with a pick you might get what you're looking for. My primary is an active Warwick Fortress Masterman.

But.... when I use the Shuttle 9.2 you can get as much treble/highs as you want through the tweeter less Four 10. And that's using my p-bass with dull Pyramid flatwounds.

Personally, I think it all depends on what head you use whether it will give you the needed treble/highs you are looking for.

Not sure this is comparable since they moved the factory. Hopefully things get faster for future orders. In any case, I'm currently at 12.5 weeks waiting for a Super Compact T.
