That is my experience. Bigger box = bigger noise. Perhaps they measure similarly, but they present differently to my ears, IME.

Yes it does but it still needs lifting for rough/soft surfaces or stairs.
Super Twin, Big Twin 2, Six10 and Eight10 all have tiltback wheels.
One10, Two10, Super Midget, Super Compact, Big Baby 2 don't.
I usually take both my SC cabs. Sometimes I'll just plug the top one in, but I'm a big fan of the sound of both of them together.I have two SC's and IMO, I could get away with playing just one at most gigs. They are just so ridiculously light (21 lbs) that I always take both
They are so light that I've stopped using the trolley for most of my load-ins.
Used my SM for the first time last night with a Magellan 800 at rehearsal. My bandmates (and me) were amazed at the sound from a light, little box. Super clean and just got louder and stayed tight. I never knew my basses could sound this good. What you hear is what you put through it.
Will be using my BB for the first time at a gig this weekend, and am looking forward to hearing that in a band setting.
I really can't see the need to stack the BB and the SM unless I am doing a large show. I am very pleased to have a modular, portable solution and options.

Nevertheless, it would be cool if you DID run the BB2 and the SM together, just so you can tell me how it works for you....
I have a BB2 and have wondered if a SM would be a good modular addition -- nice smallish cab on its own, and a good compliment to BB2 for going bigger. I do find BB2 to be a one cab solution for just about every size application.

I know that TBer Lownote (Erik) likes the BB2/SM combo. His comments can be found in the Barefaced One10 thread.
Out of curiosity has anyone tried an Eight10 yet? From reading the specs it sounds amazing, and completely unnecessary for me, but I just want to live vicariously from someone who has lol.
If a regular, good quality 212 will be enough for you without pushing it to the edge, then one SC should be fine with 500 watts into it. I just flipped my SC because my pair of One 10s is enough for me. It was fun to pile up the 3 cabs but I'll never need or use that mega rig. I bought the SC used before seeing the One 10 come up used and "found myself" with all 3. I think the One 10 pair is roughly equivalent to one SC.
Now that I have had mine a while, I have to testify to the unbelievable quality of Barefaced Audio cabinets.
I have a pair of One10 cabs and they are now broken in and the sound just blooms out of these things. They have such a stout midrange that I sometimes miss how much low end girth is coming out, too.
And with proper eq adjustment there is such a sweet high range to the cabinets as well. I really think anyone gigging in clubs, churches or anything short of arena size events would be served very well by these cabinets.
If you have adequate PA support, there's really no gig you couldn't play with these. They handle wattage well. I have powered mine with a Mesa Subway D800 and they have yet to fart - even at high volume.

About to pull the trigger on the SM - looking for a one-handed cab solution to replace my 2x12. I play mostly ~200 person clubs, hope it's as good as hyped!
You shouldn't be "hoping" when you're buying a new cab.

We always ask a load of questions when someone orders to make sure they're buying the right cab for their needs anyway, doesn't really matter whether they ask first or order first, we still check they're going to be happy with what they've chosen (and will change the order if need be).

I have been told, ( see above posts ), that the Super Compact would be more of a stand alone solution than the Super Midget. Maybe Alex could comment ? Personally, from what I have read so far, I would get a Big Baby and be done with it.
IMO, you could get a Super Compact and be done with it too. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong.

Based upon my experience with the FR800, I can't see how you would go wrong with a BB2.
