Hey everyone! Here's an in depth video on Brian Kelly's CT that he graciously let me borrow. Thank you Brian! This is a ridiculously awesome bass.

I played that bass here in Osaka. It's at a shop where I frequent; a well-known chain of music stores, and I've known the staff long before they opened the bass shop.
The manager and I get along, but he knows they've been charging too much for basses. Here in Japan, Ken Smith, Sadowsky, Fodera, and the Holy Basses: Alembic, CT, Wal….all cost a fortune now: way over $10k regardless of being new or used.
The shop writes in the bass description that musicians that went to Carl's shop all said this bass was special: ain't they all, considering he doesn't make any the same….the price made me terrified of the order I placed with Carl last year. lol
On the bass: it is MARVELOUS. It plays very well, and sounds wonderful. I have never owned nor played a CT, but this made me happy knowing that I was 100% right in ordering one. I loved the detail, and the simplicity of controls: made TO PLAY ON, PERIOD. I don't think these or any of the other brands should be museum pieces, but I fell in love with CT basses after playing this.
The price is insane at 15-16k, but I see someone here buying it, just because CTs are rare now. Gorgeous bass but no way they cost THAT MUCH unless it were all ebony: an Alembic that is kinda tricked out costs that price, and as we know they have silver and other stuff to go along with that amazing build to explain the price.
Not taking anything away from the CT: amazing, BUT…that price better have a guaranteed lottery ticket along with it lol
Thank you for easing my anxiety by saying it's a dope smoker price….
But hey guys, fess up: NO ONE DISCUSSES HOW MUCH THEIR CT COSTS, DO YA? Lol
Thank you. I have NO DOUBTS about how happy I'm going to be, especially after playing that bass! No thoughts of canceling have crossed my mind AT ALL.Mine cost less than that, more than most.
End of the day, a new CT from Carl is a pretty sound investment. I think you'll he happy with it.
