All three are really nice but the 2004 LB70 is just beautiful. If it plays half as nice as it looks you have a great axe.Round 2, I'm in:

Mine are identical except for the number of strings. Every option on both is utterly standard except the 5 piece necks (maple with walnut strips) and unlined fingerboards.
I might, repeat, might be getting another 6 string with the only difference being the radiused humbuckers. But I'm also juggling GAS for a Bromberg, so that may or may not come to pass depending on what my left wrist permits over time.

Nice looking basses in this thread. I've been GAS'n for a Carvin 4-string fretless so thought I'd look at what everyone here has just increasing my GAS (so to speak). If anyone's interested in selling their 1990 fretless 4-string, send me a PM. Awesome basses everyone.
Doubt that will happen . Not enough demand. Besides, they already have 3 six-string models already.
I am considering the XB75 with Dual MM style HBs with coil switches. My question is the same, are the big MM HBs the way to go for versatility as well as thick, snarl? i want to be able to jam the spectrum: with my jazz guitar playing brother, our church band and some heavier metal guys i know. Since it will be my only bass, i need it to cover a lot.
Is anyone out the in Carvin Land running anything with dual humbuckers, specifically the HB5/w like this?
Are they solid pickups, or something that you would replace?
I'm getting ready to order a 5 string bass (or 2) from Carvin, and was thinking of getting a double HB set-up w/SB preamp in one of them. I'd get it wired with all the taps and switches, and it would be set up mostly for a rock (not metal) bass, with either Alder or Swamp Ash.
I'll let ya know in 2 weeks or so, I have a LB75 with dual HBs , Orangeburst top in the oven . Should be here by mid April, Needless to say I am WAY stoked!!!
