Do we have any BB76 owners among the Carvin faithful? :)

I just took delivery of this beauty on Tuesday. I hope to have more and better pictures of all my Carvin gear soon:

SB4000, BB76 and 2 BRX neo 10.2 cabs, used vertically.

Im getting ready to order..is it foolish of me to think they might have a sale after the holidays, or should I just pull the trigger now?

They are having a sale now! $100 off the price and $100 worth free options. I've not seen prices lower than these from them.

Seeing as each bass they make is a custom, they don't have tons of extra, unsold inventory sitting around to blow out. They do have great prices on some of their Guitars-In-Stock on the website.

Very nice, what do you think of the neck carve? Did you get an oiled neck or a finished neck? Are you familiar with the BB75 by any chance, to compare they way the play?

Thanks!

The neck is incredibly easy for my hands. Easier than the SB4000. It's pretty thin, kinda like an Ibby. No strainng at all, even reaching for the B string. Of course, that's with my hands....

I got the finished neck, and am not hung up on the difference between oiled and finished. It is a very smooth, I guess some call it 'fast' neck.

I skipped the 5's and went straight to a 6.

Cool :) What's the string spacing? I have too may 5's at the moment and want another 6, and the BB75 is one of my all time favorite basses.

Also, you seem to have one knob more than I would expect - did you get piezos on that?

String spacing is tight- 17 mm, maybe even 16.5. I don't have an accurate guage. thank gawd I take lessons and am working on a lighter touch, or I would never be able to play this bass

What looks like a 5th knob is the coil splitting switch for MM pup at the bridge. I went the cheap route and did not get piezos.

OK, does anyone have a Carvin bass in Moss Green, maybe even with blackburst edges? :D It doesn't look like an option on swamp ash or alder but it does on the maple tops. Seems like it might be a real nice combination.

Anyone? (I know I'm reaching here....lol)
