I ordered an IC6w a few months ago. Carvin just sent an email saying it shipped! Should have pics for you all on Thursday.

I'm kind of torn on the satin matte finish I got -- I really like it but now I wonder what the tung oil would have been like. The matte is nice but I think the oil would give more life to the grain on the walnut.
I think you made a good choice. You have a smooth finish, like oil, but with more protection. I don't think oil would make the grain pop out more, for that gloss would be the way to go.
Congrats on your new Icon (love that walnut). I have to say that mine is also very playable.
...So I guess I wouldn't apply if I had no Carvin basses but did have practically an exclusively Carvin rig (Carvin head, carvin cab, carvin effects processor)?
If you or someone else want to give numbers in the "Amps" forum feel free to take over or somehow just combine the two - either way is fine![]()
Pics of the bass I posted were from my Used Carvin B5.
I was happy the person who had it before didn't play it hardly at all.
What a prize!
looking back at the old catalogs it is about 10-12yrs old and was just sitting around in the case.
I am hoping to order one of my dream basses by end of yr.
Since I didn't know there was an amp club when I started this, I am giving numbers to both bass and amp owners in this club. I guess the old numbers from the amp club will just need to stay as a separate club.
Should we just forget the one in the "Amps" forum, and just have one Carvin Club? Seems kinda stupid having twoI don't care about my old number (#1) - You can have it
