I don't use it often, but mine is fine. It's not blast the doors off their hinges loud, but it gets to unity no problem, which is all it needs. It does seem to take more travel on the dial to get to unity, but it's never been a problem for me. Could also be a tone knob setting, as on certain pedals tone settings make unity gain much easier to achieve. Never really looked into this on the Octoplus as it just did whatever I needed it to.I completely understand. When I got my first OC-2 I didn't really know how to use it to its full potential and by the time I did I loaned it to someone who then took it with him to a studio session and I never saw it again! I was seriously looking hard at the Octoplus and was about to get one when I came across a used OC-2 on Craigslist for $20 and for that price I couldn't pass it up! If it wasn't for that incredible deal I would've ended up with the Octoplus since they can still be found for such great prices. I still may too at some point. I've heard they have a low output though? Can anyone enlighten me to whether this is true or not?
