It's a bit different. Doesn't have the back of the neck painted black, etc, chrome pole pieces. It was custom made for the bass player from Disturbed way back in 2002.

I got tired of waiting for a Warwick Corvette $$ Double Buck 5 that I ordered, and decided to get the next bass on my G.A.S. list: EBMM Stingray 5.
The bass arrived this afternoon, and some pictures posted below:
Unfortunately, the electronics for the treble knob is defected. When I fully decrease the treble, the bass tone becomes highly distorted as if I am using an overdrive fuzz effect. I am going to contact the vendor to help resolve the issue or obtain a replacement.

I immediately changed the battery as soon as I found the problem, but the distortion remains when the treble control is fully decreased.
To my ears, I do not believe the treble control is working at all. The bass and mid controls are fine.
I have been waiting since late October for a new bass to arrive. Needless to say, I am disappointed, but at least I can exchange the bass for another SR5 H.
Thanks to Musicians Friend for sending me a replacement Stingray 5 via overnight delivery, I received the new bass before the Christmas holiday.

Actually, the replacement Stingray 5 sounds so much better than the previous Stingray 5 I had received (duh, it was defected). I am very excited to be able to play the new bass during my holiday season vacation from work.

I love em both, but that 25th is bad to the bone. A lot of tones on tap and they are all great.
