Rob had gone out of the country right when we had started nailing down the particulars. Here is what I am shooting for. 5 string Classic hybrid, Bart/Bart, birdeye FB & Neck, flamed ash body, possibly a figured ash top.

ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh:eek: that will be tasty indeed.... Mr.Majestic.....ive been toying with the idea of trying to make a ramp myself to see how it turns out.... do you have any small pieces of ebony laying around?:bag:

  14. The Nordy's are Big Singles and it has an Aggie OPB-3 pre. It has an unbelievably huge tone! Unfortunately, no sound clips, but I will say that I wouldn't hesitate to have a set put into an Elrick.

I know of 1 bass from Rob that he put Nordstrands in from the beginning. Is this that bass or were these dropped in later?

Those were drop-ins put in by the former owner, TBer g4string IIRC

Either way, that bass looks great and probably sound amazing. I have some big splits coming for another bass I have.

  18. Correct.

  19. I'm completely blown away by the tone of these pickups, especially with the Aggie pre...huge tone!

I'm not too sure why Rob hasn't looked into using these pickups more as a stock option, IMO, they're much better than the Aero's that he's used in the past.

If I were to order another set, I may actually opt for the Fat Stacks which can be wired into Big Singles with a switch of sorts.

I would not hesitate to recommend a set of Nordy p-ups in an Elrick bass.
