May I enter the club? Here's my new (still cold from shipping) B206SM. First impression: it's beautiful, heavy and sounds like a ton of bricks. Seems very well built although frets stick out at the bottom a bit. One thing I don't like is the jack location. It gets in the way when sitting and it's too easy to pull out when standing. I've been playing a fretless F-Bass only for almost 20 years so I find the strings a bit high. I'll see what I can do about that. It's also my first 6 string. Hard to beat for that price.

I'd like to show off my new (to me) 2008 ESP Japan Buzz Bass, one of the tetsuya signature models. I got this from the Ishibashi U-Box.
The top is very nice in person and is a fairly thick quilted maple cap, not just a veneer. The neck feels really great. It has luminous side dots the fretboard edges have slight scallops. The controls are a little different, there is no pan control. It has a 3-band ESP Cinnamon EQ and volume. The pickups are the proprietary and mysterious ESP Custom Lab. Does anyone have more info on them? They sound good, that's all I know!

Very nice. And a very interesting bass. Love the big easy-to-see side dots, very cool. The scalloped board edges are interesting as well. Nice score.
