I use a disaster area DMC-3 XL gen 2. The Gen 3 looks even more awesome.
It is! (actually I'm using the DMC-4 Gen3 though, very similar with just an extra hot switch which I use to switch on the tuner and mute). I'm using it to control the FI, Mobius and voodoo labs hex and it is a dream to use and set up. Hopefully, sometime next year I'll add an H9 again for delay and reverb duties which will use up all 4 midi slots (unless I get tempted by the new DPC-5 Gen3...)
I want the DMC4 but it will not fit on my board. I would love to have a switch just for the tuner, but then I'd have to remove my polytune mini to fit it. That is what is slowing me from upgrading to a gen3, the whole 3 vs 4 conundrum.
I am just getting running with this stuff so I apologize in advance for my many forthcoming questions.....my board is in pieces and will be together shortly with 2 x H9's that I want to get the most out of, but have ZERO midi skills. The software part doesn't bother me, loved playing on my since sold Boss SY300, but I want to be able to do more.

The DMC3-4 would be a great choice for you. They are super easy to setup and use. You might also consider the BOSS ES-8/ES-5 if you want a solution that is also a loop switcher.

Too bad you don't have another big, white tuner or two elsewhere on your board. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, the whole point of going with a DMC4 and get that tuner switch would be to use one of the H9 as a tuner so I can put another 1590a pedal on the board instead of the tuner, but the DMC4 completely cancels that out.
Wish they made the DMC4 in the DMC3 case but I'll make it work.

So my H9 has been returned and I'm a little nervous about putting it on my board. They told me a capacitor shorted out in the power section, they said it was probably a surge on my end and gave me the predictable party line about using their official power supplies. FTR I'm using the recommended 12V 400mA on a Pedal Power Mondo. Those are actually the only ports (2x, one for each H9) that I have that work unless I attempt to slightly underpower it (relative to the official specs) on, say, a 9V 400mA port on the Mondo or a 9V 450mA on my MXR ISO-Brick.
Does anyone have any experience slightly underpowering theirs?

Anybody of you guys use the H9 front of the amp, instead in FX Loop? Do you use with active bass or passive bass? How it sounds for you?

I think most people here run it on a board, in front of an amp, rather than in the FX loop. Sounds great for me.
Me too. I have used it after a bass equipped with MFDs, which are higher output than my active instruments, and it handles it perfectly and even boosts volume when called upon to do so.
Seriously contemplating an H9 purchase. The SA Nemesis didn't work out and I'm most likely returning my Cali76 so I will have some funds freed up. It appears to me that Eventide are coming out with a lot of bass friendly stuff and I gotta be honest, the interface is very polished and sexy. Definitely didn't get that from the Nemesis, unfortunately.
What was wrong with the Nemesis? I can't think of anything the H9 would have that the Nemesis doesn't as far as delays.
I wouldn't say anything was wrong with it. Most of it was personal preference. I personally found the interface on my phone very clunky and a bit hard for me to work with. And I kept having to refer to the manual to see which knob did what for which particular delay engine I was working with. Beyond that I really didn't think the delays out of the box were what I was looking for. So if you don't find the standard delays inspiring and you don't want to work with the interface you kind of run out of options
I also prefer the top mounted jacks over the side jacks that the Nemesis has.Honestly, when I plugged in to the Timeline for the first time I immediately felt connected to it and really enjoyed it. It was the opposite with the Nemesis.
I'm not really looking to replace the Nemesis with the H9 though. I have a fantastic delay coming my way that will do what I'm looking for, I'm really looking for the H9 to cover a lot of ground for me, not really just delay specific. Plus I know I enjoy the Eventide stuff and I really enjoy the connectivity and usability of their interface.

H9 Max arrived today. I got a chance to plug it in and go through the presets and GAWD DOES IT SOUND GOOD! I can't wait to dig into this a little bit and start making it my own.
