I've searched for the answer to this on here and the search function blows... Can you get an IE xerograph slow filter sweep using an h9? I haven't found anything close except a line6 helix.
Yes...on the new Hotsawz Algor. It's pretty epic. No more cobbling 5 pedals to make synth sounds...this is all in one box and they are really very good.

I REALLY like the Camino preset, when I first heard that it really made me realize what you might be able to do with the LFO options. Some of the other presets are pretty lame, I'll agree on that.
I'm about to upgrade the FW and test the HotSawz.
I have a question: how many of you guys use the "EQ compressor" and "Sculpt" algorithm to shape their tone. Are the only one for that application? Do they work good on bass?
I'm thinking about saving a couple of presets with different voicings instead of using dedicated pedals.

I use a couple of the compressor presets and really like what they bring tonewise. I haven't done anything with Sculpt, though.
Sculpt can do much of what the hyped up darkglass x can do, so pretty useful after some tweaking. Eq comp is great, i use it for lots of things, simple but quite useful compressor and a great eq!
Yesterday I was testing the Sculp algorithm and scrolling the presets and I immediately thought about my B3K. So for clean tone sculpting is better to use the Eq comp?
I use a Keeley Bassist at the very beginning of my signal chain. It's the one I like the most but it doesn't have EQ options, so I tried a Diamond but it didn't go very well for my applications.
When I want a bright snappy slap tone with my passive P w/flats I must change EQ settings on my amp every time, but I found an eq comp "slap" preset which seem to do exactly that. I wonder if there are other useful presets for different applications.
There is an “SVT” setting that I found that is great. If you have an expression pedal, you can adjust almost all of the parameters on the fly.

I’d love to hear more of what people are getting out of this and the synthonizer algorithm. Do they track well? I’m torn between buying a little analog synth or getting an H9.

I found many useful synth tones, yes. Tracking is good, at least with my technique.
I prefer to get synth tones using a combination of pedals (octave down + fuzz and/or bit crusher) but these are ready to rock and sound good.
EDIT: can you suggest a flat EQ compressor algorithm? I just want to completely preserve my tone but control parameters like ratio, threshold, maybe also attack and release. Is there something like that?

I bought one more package to max out AND got HotSawz (which is absolutely awesome). Now I just need to come up with a chart to figure out my favorite presets. Need a day or two to go through one by one. Sort of wish there was a printable chart so I could highlight my faves and make a few separate lists.
Do you know if it's possible to run the H9 both in front of an amp and in the FX loop? Pre/post options are available (I use it a lot), so I guess it's possible to select signal routing. I'd run drive emulations, envelope filter, octave and others in front and delay, verb etc. in the FX loop.
