Yeah the pedal won't do anything differently unless the firmware is changed. Not every firmware update includes a new algorithm, but they usually include at least some new features.

How can I know which new algorithm is in the update? I recently installed 2/3 upgrades without knowing anything about them. Is there a way to read details and to know when a new FW is available?
Sorry for these questions but I usually rock the pedal with my own presets and don't care about anything else. Recently I'm starting to go more in deep.

I use the iOS app, but I’m sure it’s the same on Android- whenever there’s a firmware update, there are release notes that come with it. You can read them before you choose to install the update.

Ok, thanks. Probably I didn't paid attention to the description, I'm using the Android app for updates. I keep the app installed on my phone but I never received a notification for new updates. I guess you need to check manually.

I still need to know how to backup system settings and presets. Do I need to do it through the app?
I've read in the manual (page 40-ish) that you can do that with a PC trough MIDI. I don't undestand how, though.

You can save your presets right on the app.

Explaining how to do everything through MIDI though if you’re not knowledgeable in it already would take way, way too long.

It depends on how one likes to learn. There are plenty of online instructionals. I generally don’t take well to those when it comes to tech stuff so for me it was better to learn things hands-on. It’s not too hard when you can compare it to things you already understand; MIDI control is pretty analogous to using a universal remote to control your electronics for example.

This is a good answer. It also depends on what you want to do. There are some really easy, simple things to do with MIDI and there is also an insane rabbit hole you can go down. Sharing a clock between two devices or simply changing presets is the basic level. Controlling device parameters is a small step up. Then you get into the world of system messages and other crazy stuff.

I updated and now I have the algo. But I have mine maxed. Nothing else to buy.

It seems most of these are useful for a bass player. Lots to learn about the controls though.
