I use a MIDI Mouse for patch switching. Thinking of moving to a Boss ES-5.

I use a Joyo PXL Pro and so far so good. I also have the OX9 but having everything change in one tap with the midi controller is much more convenient for me.

This is my way of keeping it ”simple”. I could do without the moog trem, but I like it too much so it’s staying. All distortions from one h9, all other madness from the 2nd.

Which algorithms are you using to get the distortions?

One from sculpt, one from crushstation and a fuzz-setting from pitchfuzz. A/B’d with my analogue dirtpedals, to mimic their sounds. Then using expression pedal to go between lo-hi gain. Or adding in octaves.

Sure i could, but not sure how useful, as it’s working together with the tonehammer, bass, flats and amps...

Well, I think just a simple aux controller would work. The Barn OX3 is fancy, but there are cheaper, less slick options.

I control mine by MIDI, using MIDI Designer on iOS hooked up wireless with a Zivix PUC+. Works great for me, but it's a lot of extra gear and I know that's not for everyone.

There are also MIDI controllers that will do this, like the One Control Gecko. Personally, though, those are quite pricey for very limited functionality, I would either go with an aux box or full MIDI.

You could just do the app as well.

I set up the Barn3 Tesla Tap to activate the tuner. Works like a charm and is sensitive as hell. One of the best tuners I've ever used. Right up there with the Turbo Tuner.

Yep. It basically replaced my Turbo Tuner. Both work great.

It actually popped up as a non-functioning algorithm in an app update, but there was no new firmware to actually get it loaded. Subsequently, they updated the app again to remove the preview. It's called "Hotsawz" as in saw waves, but then the presets have pun names like Tabasco. I saw the Instagram post saying the new algorithm is coming as well, but I can't find it now.

I don't use MIDI, I don't know much about it, but I do need to backup both my settings and presets. Honestly, I don't know how to do it and the manual isn't helping me to understand. Can you help me?

There's always a new firmware you need to install through the app to get a new algorithm. That hasn't been released yet except in beta for some users.

So every time Eventide release a new algorithm or change something in a pre existing one, you'll get a firmware update. Simple as that?
