I think you mostly need to be on their social media and/or subscribe to their email list.

Personally I find the difference between harmonic and normal tremolo to be pretty subtle so I don't have a ton of use for it even though there are really good sound in it.

I just put in my order for an H9 Max, along with an OX9 to go with it. Both should be delivered on Thursday, so I'll have a little time with it to get at least a few presets organized for the weekend's gigs.

I wanted an all-in-one unit, and it was down to this, the Strymon Mobius, and the Line 6 HX Effects. For my needs, I really only need one effect at a time. And I did not want to have to get a bigger board (Dingbat Small). And I want ease of use. And after playing around with the iOS app for the H9, I was pretty much sold. (That's a lot of "ands").

So now I wait for Thursday to get here.

I think it was one of the few reasons to get a Strymon Mobius. The H9's were a bit behind Stymon in the modulation options. But that was so last year....I'm currently running a pair of H9 max's with a Mobius between them...plug a Hog 2 in front of that lot...but the Mobius days are numbered on my board as the H9's are knocking on it's door very specifically...and the new Source Audio C4 could easily push my Hog2 onto ebay soon.

I looked closely at buying a Mobius before I pulled the trigger on an H9 Max. It just seemed to me that the Eventide did more of what I want out of a multi type unit, and with the app, will make tweaking and organizing effects much easier.

Hi @Veldar, that's a great suggestion, keep them coming!
I will definitely let the engineers know that you need a PLL & Bit Crusher. The PLL is also on my list.

I know this is not what you're looking for but wanted to mention anyways...
CrushStation kind of sounds bit-crushed because of the sputtering you can get from the Sag knob but it's not a bit crusher in the way you probably want it. Even the Vintage Delay algorithm has the option to reduce the bit rate of the trail, which is cool. But again, a far cry from what you're asking.

I'll be running your algorithm ideas up the flagpole. It really would be a sick addition.

Step Phaser (I can't get it with the regular phaser) and a Pattern Tremolo (like on the Line6 M Series) have long been my two biggest algorithm wishes for the H9.

Question:

Those of you who are running a separate compressor-Are you finding it to work best before or after your H9(s)?

I know, I know...try it both ways and see what works best for me. I'm just wondering if there's a general consensus on where it's been working best. (Comp set for mild compression, always on).

The H9 Max pretty much does it all in one box. But that is it's strength and it's weakness. It's not a multi stomp. So to get the same range (but still slightly different) of effects in Strymon, one has to get a Blue Sky, Timeline and Mobius. But in the Eventide estate....three H9's is pretty much all you'll ever need.
Personally I went for a pair of H9's and a Mobius sandwich....delich! Add a Source Audio Aftershock and C4 (with a hub) and the board is pretty much complete. Maybe add a Boss ES-5 controller and life is good.

I use the pre post routing to try both

I guess I used the word "multi" since it's multiple effects in one box. I realize it's a one effect at a time unit, so I get what you mean that it's not a multi effects unit.

Oh, and after spending some time with my new Max now, I've decided that I'm going to add a Core to it (which will become a Max when I register it), and those two will basically cover everything *I* will need out of my effects setup. I'll also grab another OX9.

I'm midi-dumb, so the whole midi controller thing just ain't in the cards for me, at this point anyway.

Thank you so much! I'm basically trying to rip off John Davis of Nerve/90s drum and bass so the two suggestions don't work for my application unfortunately.
