The H9’s are basically the heart of my setup, but to do exactly what I want, a 3rd one had to be added. So now I have one Max and 2 Cores.

Obviously, with what I have invested in my board now, I could have just bought an all-in-one unit like a Helix. But I love the sounds I’ve got programmed into my H9’s, and I love being able to adjust and program them with the control app. So I’m sticking with what I know I’m 100% happy with.

My band does a huge variety of covers. Everything from older country, to new (bro) country, to classic rock, hard rock, pop punk, pop, etc. So having the different EQ settings, and combinations of effects, is very nice to have.

I did a lot more double H9s usage before I got my Nemesis. Now almost all of my delay is with my Nemesis. That choice is mostly to maintain flexibility, it's not necessarily an endorsement of the Nemesis over the H9 (in short: they both have pros and cons).

I have a lot of other pedals that cover the dirt/compressor/EQ ground, I suppose if I really wanted to I could use the H9s and cut back on some of those.

Yeah. My deal is I’m using two h9s instead of building a huge board.

I just found (which is to say I just looked, finally) the looper. Now, I'm not big into loops (yet?) AND it seems that you can include another effect in with the loop, but I can see that on the list of "what would you use an N+1 H9 for." Not making a personal case for a third, but if we're adding up options...

Still need to clean up the wiring underneath, but everything is mounted and wired up and working wonderfully.

I don't have H9s anymore so I can't comment on this latest algo, but, really, I was an early MAX adopter every algo released post Max was underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the H9 platform, but I felt like it was not really progressing much, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's not like the competing products out there really improve the existing units much, but I feel like the H9s are not really going much beyond what they come with.

Like a lot of my more expensive pedals, I use them but not to their full capabilities. There are definitely some algos that are very important to me that nothing else will do. I did feel like there is worthwhile stuff in the H9 exclusives, I just haven't gotten around to really digging deep on them.

I had to read this a few times, but I agree.

TL;DR: New Algos are garbage, old ones are good
