Official Eventide Stompbox (H9/Factor Series) Club!!!

I like the Harmadillo. That's been my favorite algorithm so far that's been released since Ive had the Max. I'm curious to try this one (Hey--its free!) simply because I want to find a nice wet chorus. This might do the trick. We will see.

But, yeah--I was surprised that it really is "just" a tri-chorus. It certainly isn't a system seller. But you know....free....

Oh I'll for sure update mine so I've got it, but I was hoping for a bit more than just a chorus. And like you said....free.

@orville71 in the H9 Control app on my Mac, all algorithms show up for my Max but the last three H9 exclusive algos - TriceraChorus, Harmadillo, and HotSawz - do not show up on my Core, it says I need to purchase them. The previous exclusives say "purchased." Under "Eventide Account" I can see that both of my H9s are properly associated with my account. Why would this be?

I'm not sure but i've emailed support to find out more. Unfortunately everybody is at NAMM right now so please hang tight!

H9's on stage last night. Killer sound(s) as usual.

Thanks. If it matters, I had just updated both of them. (With the Mac app, via USB.) On the Core, when I was connecting after the update, I got the message on the app that it couldn't retrieve the communication protocols and suggested a reset. I didn't want to reset, but a power cycle allowed them to connect. I tried another power cycle in order to see if that would make the algos come up correctly, and got that error message again. Yet another power cycle fixed it, so it seemed like it was basically alternating them. I would rather not do any sort of reset that loses my MIDI mapping.

If it's relevant, I found on my PC that I actually had to update my H9 Control app. There's a new version. Once I did that, the new algo showed up.

I updated the app before I updated the H9s. All algos are there, but it's saying only my Max can use the recent ones.

First time I ever had a problem. Tried to load the update. Needed to load two actually. First one worked fine. The 2nd one (with the Tricerachorus) bombed. It loaded fine, then I restarted the pedal and the app (even my phone) and there is some communication error. Also the pedal display shows "Erase" .
I did the power cycle with the hot button and right switch. No dice. Have to call support.

I updated my pair of H9's with no issues. It's a processed that should not be rushed and it's done when it's done. I think it took about 15 -20 mins for each unit. Once the my laptop had transferred the code over to a H9, there's a long time where my laptop was done, but the H9 was still writing. Each H9 needed a few re-boots until they were accepting midi inputs. I've not had a chance to peruse the new Algorithm, I spent my practice time doing the updates!

I used to have all four Factors, then sold them for an Eclipse, then sold it and switched to two H9's. Now I'm down to just one H9 Max, hopefully will get another (Core) sooner or later. Also have the XI collection on my laptop.

These are my favorite FX bar none. Especially the Space algorithms, and some of the grey H9 specials. I really like the new chorus, it suits me way better than the Modfactor chorus.

It's too bad they haven't released Core in black, but just the Max. It would be great to get a black Core to easily tell them apart.
