The update worked eventually. In the end, these algos are not that useful for me anyway.

I did some modifications to the Bass Synth Filter to get an adjustable square wave to emulate Kids in America - Kim Wilde. Happy with how easy that was.

I also did a 3 Octave adjustment to fill in rhythm guitar when our guitarist solos and the sound drops out.

And a few hours later, Eventide support hooked me up with a public beta patch that appears to solve the issue!

Great support as always.

I’ve got them set to scroll up and down through my presets. Then I just tap the left switch on the pedal itself to activate the preset I want.

They work pretty slick for me, and the way they mount to the pedal so it’s just one unit is really nice.

I’m sure that midi would probably be the “best” way for me to control all 3 of them, but I don’t understand midi after spending 15 minutes once trying to figure it out, and if I have to spend more than 15 minutes trying to figure something out, well, I just ain’t got time for that.

I considered myself a midiot when I got my Morningstar. Once I grasped the concept it's just as easy if not easier than using the H9 control app and Oh man does it open up worlds on the H9s. I'm running 2 H9s and a Stomp off the Morningstar MC6 and now I wouldn't have it any other way.
Sure you can set the Morningstar up for all kinds of crazy things like press, long press , release, hold etc... I just simply set everything to run off 1 press and with that I can change presets on all 3 with ease just by pressing one button sending PC messages to them. The toggle function is real nice to.
The support at Morningstar (Ben) is about as good as it comes. He is very responsive and helpful.
My point is you can make it as hard or as easy as you want but if your not using midi for the H9s your missing out , IMHO.

It would be tough unless you had a ton of switches. Ox9s require no power, basically no space, cheapAF... how could you go wrong?

I have the H9 on my board, it gets used as a tuner, shifter, whatever. it's also served in the past in a stereo synth rig, so I feel like it's pretty good value for money overall. The Skinny Little Twins foot switch at the right usually goes on the floor and does left button/bypass, right button preset up. Still looking into best ways to set that up.
