It was a gloss black guard I got from a older geddy (sold the geddy with the stock white guard) So I am not sure the manufacturer is

Well, I'm working on a fairly decent case of Alzheimer's Disease, and it was about five years ago, so take it for what it's worth. I can't imagine that thickness wasn't important to me, so it had to be close to stock, but I never pinched it with a caliper, though. I wanna say it was 3-ply w/b/pearloid, too.

Of course they would. The scale is the same and the P has a wider nut, so they would surely fit.

Here is my Highway One with a new tort pickguard, buffed body, and vintage style bridge. I used a fender MIM pickguard which fit perfectly although I did have to open the notch up a little for the truss rod adjustment. 30 seconds with a Dremmel.

Hey Tx...How do those fret inlay stickers ho;d up while playing? Do they stay on well? I would not mind getting some to put on for a while just for a change of scenery every now and then.

I am new to talkbass, this is my 2003 highway 1 pbass. I play guitar and drum and I wanted to get a bass for playing around the house. I was looking into getting a squier or something but I pulled this off the wall yesterday and fell in love. It was used $449 with a HSC. I always liked jazz basses better but this neck feels really good and the quality was great. No fret buzzes or anything. I put some d'addario nickle xl's on it. The pots are really scratchy so I ordered some cts spots and a sprague to put in there. I also ordered a parchment pickguard because the one on there has a crack down by the jack. I think it looks cool but the jack shifts around and I get some scratchiness on the signal when I move around.

I know it is popular to put a black or tort guard on there but I really like the white because I have a 54' reissue strat in 2 tone burst with a white guard and they match.

I am thinking about putting a badass II on there too but I also kind of like the vintage look of the bridge on there already.

No problems here. They're on there without any movement or indication of them coming off under playing conditions.

I took the pickguard off and it was the same color underneath. So it wasn't sun stained, just came that way.

I redid the wiring on my highway one. I got the standard wiring kit from Link Removed really cool shop I also got a replacement parchment pick guard from them too and it drops right in, the quality is actually better than the stock fender unit.

I have never wired up a pbass before so I just came up with my own layout to have plenty of room for the orange drop sprague. I used solid core wires for the ground wires to prevent the jacks/pots from spinning.
