Official Highway One Club

Id love in... Love my 06 Highway One Jazz ... slapped a shell pickguard on it... some straplocks..buffed the finish (I prefer gloss)and called it good.
They have a poly undercoat, so any tone voodoo about nitro is BS. They sound great to me though...better than my MIM Jazz...
The Hwy is the burst on the left....
Can I get a number?:D

absolutely a great looking bass. ya, the primer & color coats are indeed poly, & the clear matte is nitro, but, it's all good in my book :D

thanks for posting the great photo,, you got's # 10 :bassist: ( & thanks for askin' for a # btw )

Just an update:

I made some changes to my HW1 Precision. Changed out the guard, the knobs, added a tug bar, replaced all the capacitors with Orange Drop caps, and added toggles that allow me to switch between the Grease Bucket and traditional Precision tone circuit.

New knobs with toggles

WOW,, love it

you did a great job with those mods,, i think it's cool how you can switch between the greasebucket & the traditional P-bass tones.

Neat stuff on the tone circuit, primedynasty. I might have to crack mine open and have a look-see.

BTW, is there room for one more in this club? I just bought my first Fender bass Tuesday--a Hwy 1 P made in 2007 (had been in the store for a year!). I'm liking it a lot so far.

thanks guys for sharing your Highway One's :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Just traded my 06 Highway One Jazz for an 06 Highway One P. I never really played many P's until recently. The Jazz was very nice, but I just recently realized that I'm a P guy. I'm not a big fan of the Relicing that was done (by the owner before the previous owner) but I might try to have a shop just take it down to the grain then add a coat of Poly or something (any ideas? :help:).

it's a great looking bass, i love white & tort,, i'd personally rock it like it is, but if it bugs you, you can do a refin pretty easily

maybe see if IbanezCollector ( a TBer here ) can help out

Honestly, It looks better IRL than in pictures, so it will probably stay that way, we'll see. I never thought I would own a White P-Bass, but I truly couldn't be happier.

By the Way, does anyone know which necks fit the H1? Is it any Fender made Neck? I woulnd't mind picking up a maple eventually.
