Here's my recently acquired Highway One Jazz (upgrade model with badass II). Loaded with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz PUP's - I got her with the Dimarzio's, the original PUPS, and a HSC for $400. I suppose I could have polished it before I took the pic, but I've been too busy playing it.

great looking jazz there, thanks for sharing ( i actually like the fingerprints, smudges & smears in the photo,, it shows that you spend more time playing your bass, than sitting around cleaning it )

OK, I know, I know about the 'no pic no bass' rule :hmm: but she has finally arrived. :)

Yes, I have no pics that I can post because of a sizing thing on my computer.

I can email pics no prob , but I can't download them to submit to TB. GRRRR.

ANYWAY she is a beauty. Took 31 friggion' (thats thirty one) days to arrive but well worth the wait.

What a BABE!!!

Gave her the inaugural work out at rehearsal last night and blew the boys away with the tone - not to mention the beauty.

Sunburst. Love the satin finish. Love the action. Love the tone. Love the 'Merkin flag sticker - I'm keeping it on the guard. Love the way the Bad Ass II does that singing sustain thing right up to the 20th fret! Love the axe!

I even got emails from the boys commenting on the tone - these guys have been playing for 35+ years so they get the tone thing.

I will continue to work on resizing those pics.

I recently removed this hideous-looking black pearloid pickguard in favor of the old faithful brown tortoise. Also swapped out the stock pups and Greasebucket with Quarter Pounders and traditional CTS/Sprague controls.

i like that color,, & with the brown tort,,, SWEET

i also dumped the greasebucket in exchange for the CTS/Sprague,,, as it should be imo,, made a ton of difference

Hi guys,

first of all great club, love seeing all the mods.

now i'm confused about the neck of the highway ones, in particular whether it has a skunk stripe or not. not that it matters in anyway, i'm just curious.
My friend's highway one p bass doesn't have one. however there are some jazz basses on here that seem to have one. There is a highway jazz on ebay that doesn't have the stripe.

is this a new addition to the bass? or is it only present on the older models?
would love to know the answer if you guys could help me out.
