Yes, I own the phase. It's basically the MXR phase (90?). I like it plenty well. It has a very nice, apparent phase if you run it with dirt, and clean it is a fairly subtle effect. Much less of the blatant phase sound and more of a volume swell with just a hint of modulated sound to it. At least, as played through my gear.

Clean it's pretty good for ambient type stuff, with some dirt you can rock out with it, throw in a pitch shift and it's a wall of sound.

after a little while with the Joyo Vintage Phaser its seems better than the previous phaser pedals ive tried and owned...best with the speed between 10 and 2 oclock (most are) for me. for $31 bucks.. cant really beat it anyway.

Tried my new fraken P bass.

She likes the ULtimate Drive better than my cheap rat clone. Weird, the jazz likes the rat better.

think the American would sound better with a J or 4003? I'll give it a go....I am running the UD through a bass vt which helps the UD a lot..seems like the UD is better with a chunky Pbass tone

My guitarist paired the UD with a Behringer HM-2 clone - holy crap! Heavy! But still with good articulation. For a total of $55, he's got a smoking combo that's much more tweakable than many boutique high gain pedals. Especially the HM-2 clones, since he's going for the Swedish buzzsaw sound.

Haven't contributed in this thread for a while. Finally used the Ultimate Drive at a gig. First I have to state again what's been said already, don't judge this pedal until you run it through an actual rig. Second, WOW when used in a live setting it really shines.

This is coming from someone who's had it for months and up until know didn't understand the hype. This is also coming from someone who prefers the heavy distortion/fuzz side of dirt and not so much overdrives. It really came through for the music I was doing this weekend when I needed that slight boost/grit.
