Official Joyo Club Part 2: Beyond Thunderclone

This https://reverb.com/item/166933-joyo-pipebomb-compressor-jf-312-new-iron-man-mini-series-2014 is the first place I've actually seen the Joyo Ironman "mini"
pedals listed for sale. Fifty euros each, so about seventy-five bucks.

EDIT: This place has got some of 'em, too: Invalid Link Removed
Yup, that's what I've found also.
Around $75.
So with a smaller footprint comes lower cost correct?
I wonder what's inside that makes them approximately $35-$40 better than their other pedals.
Hmmm...
Because, I know there's no way that's $40 worth of plastic covering the knobs.

Isn't that like the Dr. J pedals too? They're made by Joyo with presumably the same quality, but sell for more than the Joyo pedals.

I've been thinking about getting a Sparrow.

Hi, I have both and I can say there's is a big difference between those pedals. The American is a tone shaper, with it you can get a fenderish sound out of your board, it really recreates that warm deep sound, and you can add some dirt with the overdrive. The Ultimate is a great overdrive, not a tone shaper, so they're meant for different uses. I usually use them together, The AS first to shape my sound and then the UD to add some dirt to it.

Regards,
Hi, I also own both and would be interested in your set up : where do you place your American in your effect chain (in line or bypassing your amp's preamp or somewhere else), and does your Ultimate drive feed your American or the other way around
Thanks

Refinished my dynacomp today. It's not the greatest but I like it a lot more than the scorpion. :) I think the American is just gonna stay stock, I like the Orange.

My Joyo pedalboard just arrived, it costs about 50% of similarly sized Pedaltrain in my country. May I join the club ?
I've been looking at those, which size did you get?
As far a build quality, would you consider it sturdy?

Hi, I actually use it in two different setups, but I usually go from my board to FOH, so no amp on my Rig.

In my main board it goes between the compressor and the Ultimate Drive. In this setup I use it as tone shaper. The complete chain is as follows:
Pitchblack Tuner -> M87 Compressor -> American Sound -> AC Tone -> Ultimate Drive -> Analog Chorus -> Analog Delay -> WTDI Preamp

In my little board, wich I actually use the most, it goes before the preamp and I use it to add some dirt, but just a bit: Pitchblack Tuner -> M87 Compressor -> American Sound -> WTDI Preamp.

In both setups it really works great.

I just got the American I love it i have in order of Sonic stomp-lmb3 limiter-American-delay-reverb then adding bass muff pi probably before the American sounds really good w both ebg & eg clean or dirty I had the zoom and it's fun but I like having separate pedals and they sound better the sonic is always on get one must have pedal it's the Viagra of pedals

Here's my American revamped. Same ol' refin I usually do. But I'm happy with it. This bad boy is going on my main board. Hopefully it works out. I haven't been using it for months. But after plugging it today just to mess around with it, I have no idea why I haven't been using it. Sounds awesome! I'm diggin it's ampeg'ish tones. Yeah buddy.
