Official Joyo Club Part 2: Beyond Thunderclone

I picked up an AC Tone recently but it seems to lose some low end. I've messed with the settings so much my head hurts. I'm thinking about giving it to one of the guitarists in our band to try. But before I do that I was wondering if anyone is using it without losing the bottom and if so, what are your settings?

If I end up giving it away, I'm gonna grab a second AS..one for clean and the other dirty.

Thanks!

Here is mine.I love it!!!!

You could try running it in parallel, I don't worry about the low-end loss with my joyo UD and AS with this scenario.

I'm so new to effects that I had to lookup what running in parallel actually means! Thanks guys
I constantly run a clean signal. I use the American as my primary dirt, but there's still a crisp clean signal to accompany it.
That's the way we recorded, clean first, then punch in the dirt parts. So I figured it made sense to do it real time. This also avoids any possible low-end loss.

If you haven't yet look up phase inversion also. Some pedals invert phase which is a concern when running a parallel rig. But it's fun to experiment with it, it's enlightening.

Wow...I just read bongo's page on that...I think I understand..maybe. Haha

I'm thinking a blend pedal is the way to go for me. Time to go shopping

So, I walk into a Guitar Center today, and look at a few things. Make my way over to the used pedal display. They have a trio of Joyo pedals. They've got the AC Tone, the British, and the Sweet Baby. They were on still on the thirty day hold thing, since they were used. Given that I am not local to that store, I bought all three. They're going to send them to me after Oct 6, when the thirty day thing ends. Given what I've found with the Ultimate Drive, I expect these three to be fun.

This American Sound is so amazing I sometimes wonder too if I shouldn't do that : pick another one to have 2 permanent settings. It adds such a nice vibe to my tone.

I ended up giving that AC Tone to one of our guitarists. I'll be picking up a second American...I really like it's clean and dirty tones.

Had band practice tonite and played my P bass with flats...I can't decide if I like the AS better with this bass or my PJ with rounds..they both sound great through it.

I can't wait to play my AS again on Friday. I almost want to get another one also, one for low gain, one for high gain.
