I got a California Sound with some Christmas money. I used it tonight at a gig and I was not disappointed! Hell, I might buy a second so I can use one for color and the other as dirt. The only bad thing is that I couldn't dial it in right with my Mustang, but it made my Jaguar scream!

I've rehearsed with it and cut through no probs, no looper needed.

Reunion gig with my old punk rock band tonight. My main bass and pedal board are locked up in my current band's storage space so I'll be busting out my Joyo Dyna-compressor for this one. It's really helped the bass cut through two dense layers of loud guitars chugging out power chords in rehearsal. I'd use my Ultimate Drive too but the rig I'm using tonight overdrives enough on its own. I'm glad I kept these pedals for backups. They get the job done and sound good to me.

I have recently got a Joyo drj sparrow di driver pedal, am using it in combination with a bad monkey overdrive pedal and the combination is awesome, the Joyo is not pretty with the drive turned up all the way but with it set at around 3 o clock and the harmonics dial at around 3 o clock it adds a nice bit of grit and does the very slightly overdriven sound really well, the bad monkey on its own does a nice subtle overdrive but is a middy but combined with the Joyo sparrow it sounds huge
So I'm a little late to the Joyo party but I randomly discovered a website called tomtop that had UD's on sale for $17! Needless to say, mine will arrive next tues. I'm going to keep watch for either an AC Tone or American sound next. Yay!!
Im wondering, ukedealer, if you or anyone else can speak on how the OJ compares with the Oxford? I really dig the bright clanky sound of the oxford, it would be nice to get something like it for a few less ducats.
Has anyone actually got a Moonbase FOH Bass DI yet? Can't even see on pics where the xlr out is, I'm assuming on the top? I rum an IEM board with a Radial SB-2 and American sound for tone shaping, but was hoping to get one of these to free up the SB-2 for other things.

not tried the Oxford but the OJ certainly does bright and clanky!!

I am still waiting on the bass DI and the bass OD to show on the retailers selling on taobao here in China...no sign of it outside of the Joyo site.
