I'm personally really digging the antigua myself. Those pics of that finish with the matching burst pickguard look sweet.

I've never been into colors (I like natural finishes mostly and maybe a good 3 tone sunburst), but that finish just reeks of class.

I'd say go with that all the way.

Personally I'd question Antique in Nitro because that colors going to yellow over time. Brownish plus yellow= puke green. I'd stick with Poly if your focused on that color.

I'm a fan of Ice Blue Metallic.

Aj

yes. If I go Antigua I'd go poly. If i went oly white or something like that, it would be nitro... I'll stop bothering everyone about the refin. there is one last one I'm thinking. Rickenbacker's autumnglo:

I know it's similar to 3tone, but I love it to death. we'll see.

I didn't like antigua much until I saw the new Fender CS Eric Clapton. Check it out. I'm not sure if you can find someone to do one this well, though. Order a masterbuilt Fender if you want it done right.

i'm really thinking about getting something like the white w/black hardware. i really like the look on it. i'd have to do an ebony fingerboard, too.

i'm already emailing lakland to find out the cost of black hardware for my -01 fretless. :D

is there a place other than lakland that sells lakland hardware? i've been looking around, but not that much. i haven't even done a forum search yet! ohnoez!

Apparently there is hardware powder.

Interesting. I wonder if Pat Wilkins can do the Ric fireglo?

Would he also do the pickguard so it would match?

From what I understand, Wilkins can do any finish. In the estimate he gave me on the antigua, he would do the pickguard as well.

I would want the autumnglo done in nitro if possible and Wilkins doesn't do nitro.
