That's interesting, maybe one of the other guys with JOs or DJs with Chis can weigh in. On my Decade, the levels seem even--no mean feat, given where the neck pickup is!

Based on really complex testing (play a note, bridge up/neck down followed by neck up/bridge down) I don't seem to notice a big disparity between Chis on my JO5. I'll try and run it through Cubase later and see if it shows anything obvious on the meters.

for a US Lakland, it might be cheaper to find a used fretless 55-94. A new US Lakland neck is quite expensive.

Check this out:

Shoot. I've never see one available to the UK (on eBay) at that kind of price. In fact I think I've only ever seen 2 fretless 55-94s on eBay in the 3.5 years I've had my fretted 55-94 ... and both of those were lined ... not what I want.

Don't suppose anyone here has an unlined fretless 55-94 neck they want to dispose of ? Or indeed, a neck attached to a body ?

well i've emailed lakland about my neck issues already and the possibility of ordering all black hardware, but haven't gotten a response yet. i'll give it til tuesday or wednesday before i email someone else over there. :D

If this is for a Skyline, I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen. They would have to make a custom neck for it, and then you might as well buy a US.

well. I didn't want to spend more than 1600 on it. I really don't even have that to comfortably spend. For anything on eBay, I bid once, late and as high as I'm willing to go.

I posted some more detailed pics of the Indonesian Skyline JO5 CS on the Link Removed site under forums>maternity ward. They show neck joints and pickup fits and all that. They are indicative of the Indonesian build quality, so check them out if interested!

I finally got some good pics taken outdoors of my two Laklands, they're being uploaded to Photobucket as I type this. Next I've got to figure out if I can properly follow the instructions posted on this thread and get them posted, which I'm going to have some help with, but I might not have help until tomorrow. At least I've seen forward progress.

Just wanted to let you guys know I'll have (with any amount of luck) quite a few pics up very soon, and I'm not full of crap.:D
